Cast iron Locomotive Smokebox Numberplate “67701” as carried by the LNER L1 Class 2-6-4T. Built at Doncaster in May 1945 (Works No. 1984). It was numbered 9000 first of the class and into traffic with fully lined out LNER apple green livery, the only L1 built before nationalisation. It was allocated to Bishops Stortford, Cambridge and Stratford w/d from the latter Dec. 1960 and cut up at the works. | SOLD FOR £620 |

A substantial brass Bell and mounting bracket as carried by a Great Western Railway ‘2021’ Class 0-6-0 Pannier Tank built between 1881 and 1905. Great North of Scotland Railway Company Station Platform Wall Lamp reputedly from Ballater, terminus of the Royal Deeside Line. It bears a brass makers plate “W. Shirras & Son Superior Make School Hill Aberdeen”. Complete with a “GNSR” brass vessel, burner and glass chimney (not quite fitting but looks good) and all glazing. Restored 29in. tall. Cast iron Locomotive Smokebox Numberplate “46225” as carried by the LMS ‘Coronation’ Class 8P 4-6-2 built streamlined at Crewe in 1938 and named “Duchess of Gloucester”. A Crewe North and Carlisle Upperby engine it was withdrawn in Oct. 1964 and cut up at West of Scotland Ship Breaking Co. Troon. The plate is in fine condition with an untouched back and the face painted over old paint. It has been with the Carlisle loco fireman’s family since withdrawal from service.
