Cast brass Number Strip “67267” from a ‘9×5’ Works Numberplate. The loco was a Class G5 0-4-4T. Built at Darlington in 1896 and w/d in June 1954. | SOLD FOR £50 |

Engraved brass Locomotive Worksplate “(London North Eastern Railway Co.) No. 1868 Doncaster 1938”. The engraving inside brackets filled in. As carried by the A4 Pacific No. 4466 named “Herring Gull”. It was re-named “Sir Ralph Wedgwood” in Jan. 1944 and re-numbered 605 1/46, 6 5/46 and 60006 12/48. A Kings Cross, Grantham and New England Loco until transfer to Scotland to St. Margaret’s then Aberdeen Ferryhill. Withdrawal came in Sept. 1965 followed by cutting up by Motherwell Machinery & Scrap Co., Wishaw. The worksplate is face polished only clearly stamped “4466” and “6” in the back. | SOLD FOR £4300 |
