As carried by the ‘A3’ Class 4-6-2 No. 2508 / 60043 named “Brown Jack” after the winning racehorse of the Queen Alexandra Stakes 1929 – 34 inclusive. A Haymarket regular loco until transfer to St. Margaret’s. It was w/d from there and cut up by Motherwell Machinery & Scrap Co. Wishaw in Sept. 1964. The back of the plate is stamped “2508” and “43”.
