Cast brass Industrial Locomotive Nameplate “Dunkirk”. Face restored only. As carried by a Hudswell Clarke ‘Long Tank’ Works No. 1041 of 1913, which worked on the Manchester Ship Canal System, their No. 57 which was scrapped in May 1966. The loco was named after the largest evacuation of Allied Troops from the beaches of France in 1940. The plate measures 28.6×6.6in. (See next lot). | SOLD FOR £580 |

Original Painting by the well-known railway artist F. Moore depicting a LNER V1 Class 2-6-2T on a Musselburgh – Edinburgh Suburban Train in 1932. Oil on board and framed 19.5x15in. The locomotive shown became a V3 Class Conversion and was numbered 67607 shedded at St. Margaret’s. F. Moore (real name Thomas Rudd) supplied colour plates of his paintings for the Locomotive Magazine from 1897 – 1932.
