451 LNER Standard brass Locomotive Whistle as carried by a member of the J39 0-6-0 Class. A good well-presented example complete with its wheel valve. SOLD FOR
452 NER cast brass Station Platform Barrow Plate “Redmire”. A very scarce example from this Wensleydale branch station which closed in April 1954. SOLD FOR
453 LNER 4 aspect Handlamp brass plated “London & North Eastern Railway Yd. Box Grantham 1”. Complete with all fittings and glasses except orange. V.g.c. devoid of paint. The box stood at the south end of the up platform and appeared in many photos over the years with Pacific Locomotives alongside. SOLD FOR
454 Mahogany cased Signal Box Telegraph Instrument with circular surround to the sounding bars and radiused moulded base board. Complete with writing shelf and spike but tip of needle is missing. A fine instrument nevertheless. SOLD FOR

457 A steel Locomotive Excursion Train Headboard with original pasted BR paper reporting numbers “1A31”, “Return to S.M. Skegness” painted to rear. Complete with handle and lamp iron bracket. Original condition. SOLD FOR

460 “John Fowler & Co. (Leeds) Ltd. No 15841 Leeds, England” oval engraved brass Builders Plate from one of the company’s showman’s ploughing or traction engines or steam rollers built in1921 / 22. V.g.c. with red infilling to engraving. 9.5×4.75in. SOLD FOR

467 LNER early pattern Locomotive Headlamp clearly stamped “LNER” in the body, aspect drum, vessel and burner. A fine cowled bullseye lens and nicely restored. Scarce. SOLD FOR
468 “Aire and Calder Navigation” printed Notice warning of trespassing on the towpath of the Selby Canal and the punishment of fines or imprisonment. Dated Leeds 1st. Jan. 1927. Two minor edge losses. In a glazed frame 21×15.75in. o/all. SOLD FOR

471 Oval cast iron Bridge Numberplate “M&GN 179”. From a semi-circular arched bridge near Yarmouth South Town. It was the penultimate bridge on the M&GN line from Yarmouth Beach to North Gorleston Jct. Bridge 180 carried the line over the GER Yarmouth South Town to Beccles route. SOLD FOR
472 NER “Keep This Gate Shut”. V.g.c. 30.25in. Together with a NER “Penalty for neglect £2”. Both cast iron and unrestored. (2). SOLD FOR
473 “INWR Culloville” brass headed Office Stamp on a turned wooden handle. This Irish North Western station became the property of the GNR(I) in Jan 1876 and closed in Oct. 1957. A rare survivor at least 142 years old! SOLD FOR
474 Oval cast iron Locomotive Builders Plate “Built 1961 Darlington”. Ex-loco condition as carried by the 0-6-0 DE Shunter No. D4014. SOLD FOR

477 Lancashire & Yorkshire Rly. 3 aspect Handlamp. Stamped “LYR” in body, aspect drum & rear catch and “Walsden P4086”. Complete with all fittings and glasses and restored. A station south east of Todmorden closed in Aug. 1961 and re-opened by BRB on an adjacent site. SOLD FOR

483 “L&NWR Co.” silver plated Sugar Sprinkler by Elkington. The handle crisply inscribed with the title scroll and figure of Britannia. The bowl decorated and ornately pierced. Date marked for Aug. 1917. V.g.c. SOLD FOR

490 Highland Railway engraved brass Signal Box Instrument Plate “Lairg”. V.g.c. 3.5in. long. A Caithness and Sutherland section location. SOLD FOR
491 North Eastern Railway enamel Station Doorplate “Booking Office and Waiting Room”. Overpainted with the same legend and mostly stripped away. Edge, corner and screwhole chips but very good colour and shine. Ex-Askrigg station on the Wensleydale line closed in April 1954. (See lot 31). SOLD FOR
492 Peterborough Corporation Waterworks cast iron Sign “P.C.W.W H Feet”. This hydrant plate is ex-Peterborough East Locomotive Shed and is in original as removed condition. 8x5in. SOLD FOR

495 LNER 3 aspect Handlamp brass plated “London & North Eastern Railway Cotham”. Complete with all fittings and aspect glasses but front lens is cracked. Cotham was on the ex-GNR Bottesford West – Newark line, the station closing in Sept. 1939. Goods lasted until Feb. 1964. SOLD FOR
496 Victorian cast iron Sign “Post No Bills” with “VR” initials and crown. Curved to fit a telegraph pole. Restored. 5.75×4.5in. SOLD FOR

499 “London & North Western Railway” First World War Service Lapel Badge in v.g.c. This is the version with no red enamel in the crown which extends into the blue perimeter band. SOLD FOR
500 Leather Cash Bag with brass plate “LNER Fulbourne to Cambridge”. Ex-service condition complete with substantial remains of original Eastern Counties Railway Fulbourne wax seal to the closing disc. SOLD FOR
