251 Aluminium Single Line Tablet inscribed “Roughton Road Junc – Overstrand 8”. A section of Norfolk & Suffolk Joint Line south of Cromer closed in April 1953. SOLD FOR
252 “London & North Western Railway & Chemin de Fer du Nord Francais” pictorial Poster of Aberglaslyn Pass, Wales by Clement? Artwork features tourists on a horse drawn coach crossing a bridge over the pass amidst spectacular mountain scenery. A local lady in traditional costume is knitting and being observed by a goat whilst two cyclists look on. A fine and scarce image in v.g.c. with no folds and in a glazed frame. 44×31.75in. o/all. 253 Carriage Print “Ribblehead Viaduct, Yorkshire” by Kenneth Steel from the LMR ‘Railway Architecture’ 1952 series. V.g.c. and in original type glazed frame. SOLD FOR
254 Great Central Railway untitled cast iron Notice “No unauthorised person is allowed to move engines in steam by order”. An incredibly scarce sign in original unrestored condition from Annesley Engine Shed. SOLD FOR
255 BR(S) fully flanged enamel Station Sign “Gentlemen”. Small chips to the edges only. Very good colour and shine. 36x12in. SOLD FOR
256 “LNER” Bread Knife comprising a stainless steel blade by Walker & Hall with a handle formed from carved antler. A scarce item in v.g.c. 15.5in. long. SOLD FOR
257 LNER Cart Lamp stamped “LNER” in body and vessel. Brass plated “London & North Eastern Railway Kings X PCLS. N7” Complete with all fittings, glass and “Hetherington” makers plate and nicely restored. SOLD FOR
258 Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway mahogany cased Signal Box Block Instrument clearly marked “LYR” on roof and base. Original cast brass plate “Crofton Hall Sidings”. A fine instrument complete with all fittings and displays in v.g.c. Crofton Hall Sidings were east of Wakefield. SOLD FOR
259 Cast brass Industrial Locomotive Nameplate “Jennifer”. Fine ex-loco condition, lightly polished and retaining maroon paintwork to edges. 16.5x4in. As carried by a Hudswell Clarke 0-6-0T. No. 1731 of 1942 for Samuel Fox & Co, Steelworks. Later used at NCB Orgreave Colliery, then to the NYMR when the nameplates were removed and replicas fitted to the loco. (See attendant paperwork). 260 “NER 1262 Pooley & Son Liverpool” cast brass Plate from a Weighing Machine. Original condition from a location on the Wensleydale branch. SOLD FOR
261 GNR / LNER 3 aspect Handlamp brass plated “London & North Eastern Railway Gildersome 10”. Complete with fittings and glasses and restored. A station south west of Leeds closed in June 1955. SOLD FOR
262 Bronze Single Line Key inscribed “Dingwall – Invergordon 12”. A section of the former Highland Railway running along the Cromarty Firth. SOLD FOR

264 Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway glass Water Carafe. Nicely etched “L&YR” above sprays of leaves over a dimpled body with fluted neck and star cut base. Lovely condition. 6in. tall. SOLD FOR

266 A rare Hull & Barnsley Railway Explosives Detonator Box. Brass plate to top “H&B Ry. No. 3” and makers etched plate to the front “Twist Exploder High & Low Tension”. Inside lid retains the instructions notice. A remarkable item complete with leather carrying strap. SOLD FOR
267 A Great Eastern Rly. Carriage & Wagon Dept. metal Box. The lid stamped “GER” is painted “C&W Mobile Team March”. Hinged brass plate “C&W Peterboro North”. Good ex-service condition complete with carrying handle. SOLD FOR

273 Set of Tender Plates as carried by the B1 Class 4-6-0 No. 61350. Comprises LNER 9×5 cast brass works numberplate, 4340 Darlington Works 1949, cast iron “4200 Gallons”, “Water Scoop” plates together with a cast brass boiler pressure plate with NBL Co. works number 28189 from the same loco. A Kittybrewster and St. Margaret’s loco it was w/d Nov. 1966 and cut up by Motherwell Machinery & Scrap Ltd, Wishaw. (4). SOLD FOR

275 BR(M) fully flanged 48in length enamel Station Totem Sign “Watford High Street”. Very small face chips only. Superb deep colour and shine. A former LNWR station opened in Oct. 1862. A rare opportunity to acquire one of these larger totems. SOLD FOR
276 GER 3 aspect sliding knobs Handlamp stamped “GER Ely 58” and date stamped for 1910. Brass re-location plate to body “London & North Eastern Railway Rippingale” (Sleaford – Bourne line). Complete with all fittings and glasses and restored. One brass knob is missing. Back handle intact. SOLD FOR

281 Trent Bus Company pictorial Showcard “Tours & Excursions for Pleasure & Interest”. It depicts fine Olde Worlde artwork by S.R. Badmin who also produced carriage print artwork for the LNER in the 1945 – 47 period. Some small damp marks at the top but would still frame well. 30x20in. SOLD FOR
282 GNR large 3 aspect Handlamp with matching numbers. Brass plated “Great Northern Railway Company Carlton Field 6”. Complete with all fittings and glasses. Restored. Carlton Field was a signal box within the Colwick Yard Complex all now a distant memory. SOLD FOR

300 “Robin Hoods Bay” wooden Signal Box Board with applied letters. Generally sound condition 71x11in. An iconic location on the ex-NER Scarborough – Whitby line closed in March 1965. SOLD FOR
