201 Great Northern Railway cast iron Milepost. Two ornate faces incorporating the numbers “139”. From the East Coast Main Line just north of Retford Station. Restored. SOLD FOR
202 A Bottle of Harvey’s Brunel Blend Oloroso Sherry specially produced in 1985 to celebrate the 150th. Anniversary of the G.W.R. The bottle is unopened bearing the GWR crest and dedication and retains the original titled presentation box. A great opportunity to get merry and buy Railwayana! SOLD FOR
203 An Airey’s Book of Railway Junction Diagrams together with four folding Railway Clearing House Maps of Scotland, Ireland, East England and London. Condition throughout fair to good. (5). SOLD FOR
204 Great Western Railway Pocket Watch by Rotherham’s of London. Issued in 1902. The fine enamelled dial is lettered “GWR” and the case back “GWR 1924” polished but quite legible. Full working order. n/s
205 “LNER 935 Doncaster Works 1942” cast brass ‘9×5’ Locomotive Works Numberplate as carried by the ‘V2’ Class 2-6-2 No. 60935. A long term Doncaster engine it was w/d June 1963 and cut up at the Works. SOLD FOR
206 Brass faced steel Single Line Tablet inscribed “Markham Colliery M. R. – Markham Collieries LD & EC”. V.g.c. SOLD FOR

210 “The Bristol Tramways & Carriage Co. Ltd” so titled small enamel Tramcar Notice “Warning passengers of the dangers passing under railway bridges and not to touch the overhead wires.” The second paragraph regards the carrying of dogs. Ten lines of text. Some edge and corner chipping / minor losses but with good colour and shine. A scarce notice. 9×8.5in. SOLD FOR
211 “LNER Coningsby” steel plated metal Platform Lamp Interior Lamp complete with brass burner and brandy glass globe. A station on the Lincolnshire ‘New Line’ it closed in 1970. SOLD FOR
212 Cast iron Locomotive Smokebox Numberplate “44077” as carried by the LMS 4F Class 0-6-0 built by the North British Loco Co. in 1925. A long term Stoke engine it was w/d March 1960 and cut up at Derby. The smokebox is in ex-loco condition. SOLD FOR
213 Original Painting by the Boston artist Les Perrin depicting LNER ‘A3’ “Flying Scotsman” heading the train of the same name on the East Coast Main Line. Oil on board and framed. 30.75x25in. o/all. SOLD FOR

221 LNER 2 aspect Loco Drivers Handlamp stamped “ALX DK No. 48” and copper plated “A. DK No. 8” complete with all fittings and glasses but attention required to vessel mounting and front glass bezel. Unrestored and from the ex- H&BR Alexandra Dock Depot in Hull. SOLD FOR
222 BR(W) fully flanged enamel Station Totem Sign “Newton Abbot”. Excellent condition. A former GWR Devon Station and Junction for the Torquay and Moretonhampstead lines. SOLD FOR

224 LNER cast brass ‘9×5’ Locomotive Works Numberplate “London & North Eastern Railway 8243 rebuilt Stratford Works 1935”. Cleaned and polished. As carried by the GER E12 Class 0-6-0 No. 1243 built in 1912. Became LNER J18 No. 4643 / 8243 re-built in April 1935 when vacuum ejectors were fitted and re-classified J19/2. As BR No. 64643 it was allocated to March then Norwich w/d from there Nov. 1961 and cut up at Stratford. SOLD FOR

230 GNR Ground Signal Lamp brass plated “Great Northern Railway No. 18388” and bearing a copper plate “Havenhouse” (between Firsby and Skegness). Complete with correct interior lamp which has a large “Lamp Manufacturing Co.” brass plate. Nice condition throughout. SOLD FOR

233 Steel Single Line Staff, the aluminium head inscribed “Leek Brook Junc. – Caldon”. ‘A’ configuration. A former Leek, Caldon & Hartington section owned by the North Staffs Railway. SOLD FOR
234 Midland Railway large 3 aspect Handlamp. Matching brass oval plates “Midland Railway 2179A” top and body and a large “Midland Railway Co.” brass plate to the front. Complete with original “MR Co” rape oil vessel, early red and green aspect glasses and all other fittings. V.g.c. and unrestored. SOLD FOR

242 Glasgow and South Western Railway 3 aspect Handlamp stamped “G & SWR Co.” and featuring restored paintwork with red lining. The base of the lamp bears “Station Master Prestwick” in original paint. Complete with all fittings and glasses and in very good condition. SOLD FOR
243 SNCF cast aluminium Locomotive Cabside Numberplate “S. N. C. F 141. P. 264” with remains of original red paint and with a lower right corner flange loss. Ex – 2-8-2 loco. SOLD FOR

245 Cast iron Locomotive Smokebox Numberplate “90152” as carried by the ‘WD’ Austerity Class 2-8-0 77165 and allocated to Motherwell, Southall, Westhouses, Gorton. Withdrawn from Lower Darwen in May 1965. Cutting up was carried out by Arnott Young, Dinsdale. SOLD FOR

248 BR(Sc) fully flanged enamel Signal Box Doorplate “Private”. Re-touched lower right corner chip otherwise v.g.c. with good colour and shine. SOLD FOR
249 Fowler of Leeds titled enamel Notice fitted to their diesel shunting locomotives giving 12 point instructions for operating and lubricating them. Some enamel losses to edges but all text is intact. Ex-loco condition. 11.5x8in. SOLD FOR
250 Cast brass Two Piece Locomotive Nameplate “Sir Charles Newton” as carried by the LNER A4 Class 4-6-2 built at Doncaster in 1938 and originally named “Capercaillie”. It was re-named “Charles H. Newton” after the Chief General Manager of the LNER in August 1942 and re-named again in June 1943 following his Knighthood. A Gateshead regular ‘A4’ it was w/d March 1964 from Aberdeen Ferry Hill with a life mileage of 1,330,582 and cut up by Campbell’s, Airdrie. The nameplate is 86.5in. long overall and is face restored only with the end holes face drilled (in service) so easier for wall mounting. (See next three lots and lot 500). n/s
