1 GNR early pattern Signal Lamp Interior from the M&GNJR. Brass plates “Great Northern Railway No. 17366” and “Thursford”. Complete and in v.g.c. Restored. SOLD FOR
2 Methley Joint Committee (GNR / LYR & NER) cast iron “Beware of the Trains” Notice. Both fixing lugs intact. SOLD FOR
3 BR(NE) fully flanged enamel Station Sign “Please have all tickets ready”. Minor chips only. Superb colour and shine. 24x18in. SOLD FOR
4 Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway mahogany cased Signal Box Block Bell with large brass bell. Marked “L&YR 192” and in v.g.c. SOLD FOR
5 LNER 3 aspect Handlamp together with a LNER Welch Patent Signal Lamp Interior both plated “Gedling”. Both complete and in v.g.c. A former GNR station east of Nottingham closed in April 1960. (See also lot 243). SOLD FOR
6 Fibre Single Line Tablet inscribed “Bridlington – Hunmanby 10”. A section of the former NER Scarborough – Hull line. SOLD FOR
7 “L&NW & GW Joint Lines 2” oval cast iron Bridge Number Plate. V.g.c. and unrestored. SOLD FOR
8 Cast iron Smokebox Number Plate “61209” as carried by the LNER B1 Class 4-6-0 built by the North British Loco Co. 26110 of 1947. A long term Colwick resident it was w/d in Sept. 1962 and cut up at Looms of Spondon. The plate is face restored and displayed on a mahogany mount. (See next Lot). SOLD FOR
9 Oval cast brass ‘9×5’ Locomotive Works Number Plate “London & North Eastern Railway 61209 N. B. Loco Co. 1947”. V.g.c. and unpainted. SOLD FOR
10 Ian Allan Loco Shed Book Combined Edition dated 1952. A rare example in fine condition with no marks or underlining. SOLD FOR
11 LNWR pattern Station Wall Lamp with etched front glass panel “Stanbridgford”. A former station on the Leighton Buzzard – Luton line closed in July 1962. The lamp is complete with reflector and all glazing and is in v.g.c. SOLD FOR
12 “Caledonian Station Hotel Edinburgh” silver plated Dining Table Posy Vase by Mappin & Webb, with a weighted base. Nicely inscribed with the title scrolls and rampant lion shield. V.g.c. 2.75in. tall. SOLD FOR
13 “LNER Warrenhill” rolled coloured Signal Box Diagram. The location between Newmarket and Ely. Dated Nov. 1935. Small tear and a bit of nibbling at one end otherwise g.c. 42x16in. SOLD FOR
14 GNR Ground Signal Lamp Case brass plated “Great Northern Railway No. 25196” and “Skillington Road”. A location on the former ‘High Dyke’ iron stone mining branch south of Grantham. V.g.c. and unrestored. SOLD FOR
15 GNR Semaphore Signal Lamp Interior Vessel plated “Stainby”. Unrestored. A location on the ‘High Dyke’ iron stone branch south of Grantham. SOLD FOR
16 Enamel Advertising Sign “Spratt’s Puppy Biscuits. Build up a dog with Spratts”. V.g.c. 30x12in. SOLD FOR
17 Carriage Print “Kings Lynn, Norfolk” by Gyrth Russell. A view of the Old Customs House from the 1948 – 55 series. V.g.c. and in an original glazed frame. SOLD FOR
18 “The Railway Executive Report of the Locomotive Testing Committee on the Locomotive Interchange Trials 1948”. The in depth official report of these workings covering all the locos involved with detailed performance data on all the designated routes. Foolscap format nearly one inch thick! 131 pages (many of them fold out) contained in titled card covers. A very scarce work of historical significance presumably only issued to selected personnel. 19 BR(Sc) fully flanged enamel Station Doorplate “Station Master”. One chipped area between S & T otherwise lovely condition. Ex-Biggar station on the former Caledonian Peebles branch closed in 1950. SOLD FOR
20 “Stevens & Sons Patent London & Glasgow” cast iron Signal Maker Plate incorporating the Royal coat of arms. Unrestored. 13.75×7.5in. We believe the patent referred to the company’s design of a lattice signal post. SOLD FOR
21 LNWR cast iron Signal Box Lever Plate “From Peterboro”. Face restored only. “Overton Box” is chalked on the back. Together with and unrestored example “From Wansford”. (2). SOLD FOR
22 South Eastern & Chatham Railway glass Water Carafe clearly etched “SE & CR”. V.g.c. SOLD FOR
23 Belfast & Northern Counties Railway 3 aspect Handlamp. Complete with all fittings and glasses and in v.g.c. Unpainted. Clearly marked “B&NCR”. SOLD FOR
24 BR(LMR) double royal pictorial Poster “Morecambe & Heysham” with fine artwork by A.J. Wilson. Good condition with light folds. SOLD FOR
25 LNER cast iron Station Seatback Nameplate “Battersby”. Face restored only. 32in. long. A former NER junction station in North Yorkshire. SOLD FOR
26 LNWR small china Sugar Bowl. A delicate piece decorated with ribbons and roses. 3in. diam. Base marked “North Western Dining Saloon” around the Britannia device. (A scarce version of the title). V.g.c. SOLD FOR
27 LMS double royal Station Poster Timetable “Fleetwood, Blackpool, Preston, Chorley, Bolton (Trinity Street) and Manchester June to October 1947”. Also includes the Horwich branch. Folds and one split. SOLD FOR
28 Scottish North Eastern Railway 3 aspect Handlamp the body clearly stamped “S. N. E. Ry” also bears a large “McLennan, Glasgow” oval brass makers plate with the Victorian coat of arms. Complete with all fittings and glasses and restored. The SNER operated a line from Perth to Aberdeen and branches and was formed in 1856. It became part of the Caledonian Railway in 1866. SOLD FOR

30 Brass Locomotive Whistle. 6.25in tall and polished. Unknown pattern lacking base mounting. SOLD FOR
31 “Southern Railway Beware of Trains” cast iron Sign, L&SWR pattern. Fine condition face restored only. SOLD FOR
32 GNR large 3 aspect Handlamp. Matching numbers “10228” and with brass plate “London & North Eastern Railway Bawtry 6”. Complete with all fittings and glasses. Restored, one side catch loose. A former ECML station south east of Doncaster closed completely in June 1965. SOLD FOR
33 Oval cast aluminium Locomotive Builders Plate “Andrew Barclay Sons & Co. Ltd. Caledonia Works Kilmarnock No. 517 1966”. Ex-loco condition. 9.75×7.75in. As carried by a 0-4-0 DH at Kincardine Power Station, Fife. SOLD FOR

38 Midland & Great Northern Joint Railway 3 aspect Handlamp with brass plate “M&GNJR 976 F. Christian M&GNJR”. Complete with all fitttings and glasses, polished otherwise unrestored. SOLD FOR
39 A bronze Plaque titled “London Midland and Scottish Railway Seventh Place for reducing engine casualties” and featuring the LMS arms and a ‘Princess Royal’ class loco. Mounted on a wooden board flanked by two matching bronze “Winners” tablets, one inscribed “Accrington 1935, Bescot 1936, Motherwell 1937, Carnforth 1938, Plaistow 1947, Bank Hall 1948”. V.g.c. 25x20in. o/all panel. SOLD FOR

44 Southern Railway Marine Department silver plated six slice Toast Rack by Walker & Hall. Nicely top marked with the title scroll and house flag. V.g.c. SOLD FOR
45 Carriage Print “Crowland, Lincolnshire” by Kenneth Steel. Water stains to right corners. From the 1948 – 55 series. In an original type glazed frame. SOLD FOR
46 “LMS Hotels” silver plated Sauce Ladle in fine condition. 6.5in. long. SOLD FOR
47 Aluminium Single Line Tablet inscribed “Wendling – Dunham 6”. A section of the former GER Kings Lynn – Norwich line. Both tablet stations closed in Sept. 1968. SOLD FOR
48 Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Tyer’s mahogany cased Signal Box Block Instrument. Original cast brass plate to the face “Glasshoughton West” and marked “L&YR” three times. Complete and in very fine condition. The location is west of Castleford. SOLD FOR
49 “LMSR” Carriage Roof Pot Lamp. The company initials embossed on a large curved brass plate. Complete with “LMS” burner, glass globe and all fittings. V.g.c. SOLD FOR
