1 North Eastern Railway single aspect miniature Handlamp in copper. Brass plate to top “C. Brandon Hartlepool Dock NER”. Oval brass “NER” plate to base. Complete with copper vessel, all fittings and clear glasses. V.g.c.
2 BR(M) double sided enamel Station Sign “Letter Box” with directional arrows. Both faces in v.g.c. with minor chips. Complete with original wall brackets. 24x9in. plus brackets.
3 Great Northern Railway Guard’s Pocket Watch. The enamelled dial is marked “Wm Potts & Sons Leeds & Newcastle”. The case back marked “Great Northern 1154” (a little rubbed) and “Ex. B.R.” The internal movement plate is finely engraved “Wm. Potts & Sons Leeds & Newcastle on Tyne”. A lovely old watch with subsidiary seconds dial in fine condition fully overhauled and in working order.
4 “M&GN 220” oval cast iron ‘Bridge’ Numberplate from a culvert between North Drove and Counter Drain. V.g.c. and ex-bridge condition.
5 “Bridlington – Hunmanby” fibre Single Line Tablet from the former NER Hull – Scarborough line.
6 Cast iron Locomotive Smokebox Numberplate “42879”. Built at Crewe in 1930. An Ayr and Hurlford ‘Crab’ in BR days it was w/d in Sept. 1965 and cut up at Shipbreaking Industries, Faslane. A fine smokebox in totally ex-loco condition.
7 Midland Railway mahogany cased non-pegging Signal Box Block Instrument in v.g.c. Clearly marked “MR Co.” Original BR label attached from Skipton Depot shows that the instrument is from Ribblehead on the Settle – Carlisle line.
8 LNER cast iron Doorplate “Tranships”. V.g.c. and face restored only.
9 “NER Refreshment Rooms Scarborough” twin handled silver plated Sugar Bowl by Elkington. A lovely item in fine condition incorporating ornate engraving.
10 “Caledonian Railway 37255” large oval cast iron Wagon Plate. Face restored only. 15.25x8in.

11 West Riding & Grimsby Railway cast iron Boundary Post incised “WR & GR”. 29in. tall and lacking foot.
12 Carriage Print “The Tay Bridge, Scotland” by J. McIntosh Patrick from the 1956 / 7 Scottish Region series. V.g.c. and in an original glazed frame.
13 Cast brass ‘9×5’ Locomotive Works Numberplate “London & North Eastern Railway 67705 Darlington Works 1948”. Face lightly restored only. As carried by the ‘L1’ Class 2-6-4T. An Ipswich and Stratford loco w/d Dec. 1960 and cut up at Darlington.
14 “Caledonian Railway Company” nickel and enamel Free Pass No. 1300. The rear also stamped “1st. Class E.J.H.” Scarce but very tarnished.
15 “Cardiff Railway” fully titled enamel Notice regarding smoking in warehouses, stores, wharves etc. “Bute Docks 1920”. Corner and edge chips. V.g. colour & shine. 22×16.75in.
16 Great Northern Railway of Ireland Locomotive Headlamp stamped “GNRI” and “Goraghwood 62”. The location is also painted on the body. Complete with a vessel, all fittings and bullseye lens. Ex-service condition.
17 North Eastern Railway engraved brass Signal Box Shelf or Instrument Plate “Seamer West”. Malton – Scarborough line. 8.5in. long.
18 Cheshire Lines Committee Staff brass Cap Badge embossed “CLC 345” within a belted garter. V.g.c.
19 South African Railways bi-lingual cast brass Locomotive Cabside Numberplate “SAR / SAS 3633 24”. Ex-loco condition including paintwork. As carried by the Class 24 4-8-2 built by NBL Co. (26345 of 1949).
20 “LM & SR Warning Stop – Look – Listen” cast iron Crossing Notice with nine lines of instructions. A scarce sign face restored only a while ago. 26.75×19.75in.

21 BR(E) flangeless enamel “Private” Doorplate ex-Pyewipe West Sidings Signal Box, Lincoln. Minor chips otherwise v.g.c. with good colour & shine. (See also lots 87, 340 & 410).
22 Highland Railway original Coat of Arms Transfer mounted onto a painted wooden shield. A fine early example.
23 North Eastern Railway ornate cast brass Ashtray. “NER” script initials in the centre with a scrollwork edge.
24 Small cast iron Great North of Scotland Railway Wagon Plate “Wagon G.S. GNSR X / 1914 Reg. No. E48130”. 4.5X2.5in.
25 Enamel Sign surmounted by the Royal Coat of Arms “Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries (Acting for the War Office) King’s Premium London 1924”. Three edge chips with very good colour and shine. Shield shape, 14.5×9.75in. overall.
26 LNER cast brass ‘9×5’ Works Numberplate “London & North Eastern Railway 8892 Darlington Works 1933”. Face restored only. As carried by the tender attached to B16 4-6-0 No. 61459.
27 “Barclay” cast aluminium Diesel Radiator Plate. Ex-loco condition 22in. long.
28 BR(ER) half flanged enamel Station Totem Sign “Downham”. Minor edge wear only with fine deep colour and shine. A former GER station between Kings Lynn and Cambridge renamed Downham Market in 1981.
29 LNER / GNR 3 aspect Handlamp. Top stamped “GNR 3713” and dated Sept. 1909. Brass plate to body “London & North Eastern Railway Lon. Rd. Gds. Nottingham” (i.e. London Road). Complete with all fittings and glasses. V.g.c. and unpainted.
30 LMS Rug bearing the company script initials in a centre panel of tulip borders within a geometric perimeter design. Slight wear otherwise nice condition with bound edges. 65x29in.

31 Seven LNWR cast iron Signal Box Lever Description Plates including “Dwarf Signal Thro to Goods Yard” and “From Goods Warehouse”. V.g.c. (7).
32 Reproduction cast brass LNER ‘Mallard’ Speed Plaque No. 166 of limited number of 250. Mounted on a polished mahogany panel and is complete with its matching “National Railway Museum Certificate of Authentication” in a glazed frame. V.g.c.
33 LMS silver plated Flower Vase by Walker & Hall with a weighted base, probably from a dining car table. Superbly marked “London Midland & Scottish Railway Company” with armorial devices to the face. V.g.c. 7.5in. tall.
34 Carriage Print “Wisbech, Cambridgeshire” by Gyrth Russell from the 1948 – 55 series. V.g.c. and in an original type glazed frame.
35 Hard backed Book “Railway Clocks” by Ian P. Lyman. A fine copy of this definitive work published in 2004 & long out of print. 360pp. profusely illustrated & complete with dust covers.
36 Cast iron Locomotive Shedplate “50B” (Leeds Neville Hill then Hull Dairycoates).
37 North Eastern Railway cast iron bollard style Boundary Post with “NER” to the upper collar.
38 Midland Railway Distance Diagram “Ribblehead to Hawes Jct. and Kirkby Stephen” dated 1903. Together with a similar “Hellefield to Horton in Ribblesdale and Ingleton” which aslo has an enlarged Hellifield area dated 1901. Both Diagrams are on linen and fold into marble covers. V.g.c. (2).
39 Midland Railway Distance Diagram “Keighley to Hellefield and Branches” dated 1900. Together with a similar “Horsforth to Woodlesford incl. Leeds Area” dated 1905. Both diagrams are on linen and fold into marble covers. V.g.c. (2).
40 “GN & GE 65” cast iron Bridge Numberplate from a structure at Odder east of Saxilby. Face restored only.

41 BR(SR) pictorial double royal Poster “The Continent by Train and Ship”. Attractive artwork and an inset diagram of Cross Channel Routes. Folds only.
42 “Built 1957 Derby” oval cast iron Locomotive Worksplate as carried by the Standard Class 5 No. 73150 (marked on back). V.g.c. and face restored only.
43 Wooden handled brass Office Stamp engraved “LMS Traffic Whatstandwell”. V.g.c. A former Midland Railway location between Ambergate and Matlock.
44 “Jaeger Pure Wool” double sided enamel Advertising Sign in Art Nouveau style. Both faces in fine condition and in the original wooden frame 21×16.25in. o/all with suspension rings.
45 Original Painting by Trevor Owens depicting BR Compound No. 41065 hauling a freight in the Lune Valley. A very fine image, oil on canvas and framed. 27.5×23.5in. o/all.
46 Steel Locomotive Train Reporting Headboard Plate with lamp iron bracket bearing original paper reporting numbers. “Return to S/M Stockton” painted on rear. Ex-service condition.
47 Double sided wooden Station Sign of pre-grouping origin “Ladies Waiting Room” with applied letters and pointing hands. Fine ex-station condition 63x19in. o/all.
48 London & North Western Railway 3 aspect Handlamp stamped “LNWR Lords Bridge Pt. Way A17919”. Complete with “LNWR” vessel and porcelain burner, all fittings and glasses. A fine unpainted example. A location on the Cambridge – Bedford line. The station here closed in Jan. 1968.
49 Railway Convalescent Homes glazed stoneware Tobacco Jar and lid by Royal Doulton. The body illustrated with the Herne Bay and Leasowe Castle Homes. V.g.c.
50 Three Southern Railway enamel Station ‘Car Stop’ Number Plates “4”, “4” and “6”, in good condition. (3).
