48/510 £40 GWR Porter’s Cap with red roundel badge and red piping to brim together with a GWR footplateman’s? denim type jacket bearing two cloth roundel badges in red. Both in fair condition. (2) 48/582 £50 BR(S) Carriage Advertisement re the problems of Litter. These were displayed in the suburban electric units. Some damp scuffs but it is in its original glazed frame.
48/515 £850 GWR cast brass Locomotive Cabside Numberplate “4258”. As carried by a 2-8-0T Loco withdrawn in April 1965 (one of the last four surviving class members) and cut up by Birds, Risca in Sept. 1965. Face restored. 48/604 £200 “Rhymney Railway” fully titled cast iron Bridge Notice “To owners and drivers of locomotives etc.” Restored a while ago.
48/539 £350 GWR fully titled cast iron Notice “Any person riding or wheeling a bicycle tricycle or any other vehicle upon the towing path without a permit is liable to a penalty and will be prosecuted. By order”. A very scarce sign nicely restored. 48/611 £200 “Electric Trains Stop” cast iron Notice. Ex-lineside condition. 565x392mm. (22.25x15.4in).
48/545 £40 Southern Railway Electric silver plated Divided Circular Dish by Elkington. Face marked “SR” with the electric flash. v.g.c. 48/612 £20 “Southern Railway Training School East Croydon 1934-35” Accounts Certificate awarded to Mr. E.A. Osmotherley. Attractive item in v.g.c.

48/546 £75 Southern Railway silver plated Fish Servers by Mappin & Webb. Both pieces nicely top marked with the “SR” initials. Fine condition. 48/613 £1200 Cast brass Locomotive Nameplate “Fury”. Thought to have been cast as a spare when the LMS temporarily named their experimental locomotive in 1935. No. 6399 “Fury” was later rebuilt as Royal Scot No. 46170 “British Legion”. The nameplate is face restored and lightly polished 862mm. (34in) long. The back showing signs of age.
48/547 £60 GWR fully titled Parliamentary 1882 Session Plan on stout paper covering an area Bristol, Bath, Taunton, Weston S-M, Wells, Axminster, Sherborne, Stur. Newton, Gillingham, Witham, Frome. Shows all lines in colours representing GWR, LSWR, Mid., Bristol Port & Pier Rly., Bridgewater Rly., Radstock & Congresbury Jct. Rly. and S&DJR. Some repairs and in a glazed frame. 952x820mm. (37.5x32.25in). 48/632 £50 Southern Railway cast iron fully titled Trespass Notice ex-Broadstone Station, Dorset. Face restored only a while ago.
48/554 £40 Somerset & Dorset Joint Committee. A rare set of three pre-grouping issue nickel Uniform Buttons with the “SJC” intertwined script initials. Large, medium and small examples in v.g.c. 48/635 £40 “Automobile Association” triangular enamel Sign “School Safety First”. Multi-chipping and some corrosion loss but a scarce survivor and restorable.
48/574 £300 A run of McKenzie & Holland brass Signal Box Lever Numbers. 5 to 44 inclusive ( total 40). An impressive consecutive run and as such this is a rare opportunity to acquire them. 48/649 £60 GWR fully titled Trespass Notice. Face restored only a while ago.
48/578 £120 “South Eastern Railway Deal Hotel” silver plated Sundae Dish by Mappin and Webb. Superbly face incised with the full titles on a belted garter. A very fine piece and extremely scarce. 48/652 £50 BTC (Southern Region) small enamel Notice re-ticket conditions etc. Excellent condition. 152x102mm (6x4in).
