Thought to have been cast as a spare when the LMS temporarily named
their experimental locomotive in 1935. No. 6399 “Fury” was later rebuilt
as Royal Scot No. 46170 “British Legion”. The nameplate is face restored
and lightly polished 862mm. (34in) long. The back showing signs of
age. |
