Black and red on a gold lacquered background. v.g.c. 97x216mm. (3.8x8.5in). 47/186 £70 Oval etched brass Makers Plate embossed “Ruston- Hornsby. Ruston & Hornsby Ltd. Lincoln. England”. v.g.c. 143x81mm. (5.6x3.2in). Probably from a static petrol engine.
47/40 £35 LNER Welch Patent Signal Lamp Interior with brass and copper plates both stamped “Aby”. Complete with burner and all glass and fittings. v.g.c. and restored. A former east Lincs station between Louth and Willoughby closed in Sept. 1961. 47/221 £40 Selection of Shipping Company China: “Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company” matching coffee cup and saucer; “Cunard Steam Ship Company” oval dish; “Union Castle Line” soup bowl; “Caledonian Steam Packet Co.” soup bowl. All pieces in v.g.c. (5).
47/67 £40 L&NER fully titled cast iron Trespass Notice. Nicely face restored. 47/224 £25 “GCR J.717” oval cast brass Crane Number Plate. Face restored only. 107x64mm. (4.2x2.5in).
47/69 £50 Mahogany cased Signal Box Block Bell with tapper and lift up front panel. A large mushroom bell which emits a fine sound. v.g.c. From a Boston area box. 47/245 £50 Oak cased Signal Box Telephone. Etched brass plate to face is lettered “To call Signal Box” followed by eight lines of instructions. v.g.c. and complete with handset and braided flex.

47/82 £40 “Boston” station plastic fluorescent Platform Lamp Cover. Repaired crack to rear face so does not show on the lettering side. Ideal for garage or workshop. 1415mm. (55.7in) long. 47/262 £80 Cast iron Locomotive Shedplate “12A” (Carlisle Upperby then Kingmoor). Face restored only a while ago.
47/88 £50 Oak cased Signal Box wall mounted Telephone with copper bell and black bakelite handset and push button. Ivorine plate to face “Listen before ringing code”. From a box in the Boston area. v.g.c. 47/311 £60 “GN & GE Joint Railway” (GNR 1896 pattern) cast iron Trespass Notice. Face restored only.
47/90 £50 LNER silver plated Sugar Shaker by Gladwin of Sheffield ‘Embassy’ plate. Clearly marked on face with the “LNER” script initials. Superb condition, one of the best we have seen. 47/317 £40 “Great Central Railway and its connections” rolled waxed linen System Map showing the entire mainland U.K. as far as Perth! Also shows larger scale area map of Lancs. and Yorks. Edge wear only and a grubby back otherwise v.g.c. 1000x645mm. (39.3x25.4in).
47/93 £40 “LNER 90” oval cast iron Bridge Numberplate with casting code “B100”. Face restored. 47/347 £40 GWR rectangular cast iron Wagon Plate “GW 103568”. Unrestored with the bolt heads still in place.
47/126 £40 LNER leather Cash Bag with brass plate “LNER Boston”. v.g.c. and complete with “LNER” closing disc. 47/354 £35 Carriage Print “Balmoral Castle, Aberdeenshire” by Kenneth Steele from the Scottish Region 1956-57 series. Minor corner loss and some light damp marks. In an original type glazed frame. An uncommon print.
47/144 £50 LNER 2 aspect Loco Drivers Handlamp. The body is embossed “LNER Loco” and has a metal plate stamped “C. Street Darnall Loco”. Complete with vessel, burner and glasses. v.g.c. and restored. The former GCR shed in Sheffield coded 39B and 41A. 47/360 £20 “Pacific Steam Navigation Company” silver plated Sugar Caster by Mappin & Webb. The bowl has a delicate pierced floral decoration and the handle is crisply top marked with the full company belted garter title around a Victorian crown. v.g.c.
47/151 £90 Carriage Print “Great Yarmouth, Norfolk” by E.T. Holding from the 1948 - 55 Series. A fine view of the river Yare and quayside. v.g.c. and in an original type glazed frame. 47/361 £20 “Pacific Steam Navigation Company” silver plated Mustard Spoon by Walker & Hall. Crisply top marked with the same crest as the previous lot. v.g.c.
47/156 £25 “Dundalk & Newry Steam Packet Co. Ltd” small Letterpress Poster re: Goods and livestock services Great Britain and Ireland, June, July, Aug. 1927. Four tables of times, names of vessels and other travel info. Minor folds only. Very good condition and scarce. 47/370 £75 BR(E) flangeless enamelled Sign “Please Show Tickets”. Chips to three corners and very minor edge wear, otherwise a fine sign with lovely deep colour and shine. 254x407mm. (10x16in).
47/170 £50 Great Northern Railway fully titled cast iron 1896 Trespass Notice. Face restored only. 47/373 £100 Carriage Print “East Linton, East Lothian, Scotland” by John E. Aitken. A fine view of the infant River Tyne, bridge and stone dwellings. Light foxing to margins which have been trimmed approx half an inch all round. From the 1948-55 series and an original type glazed frame.
