48/6 £40 Two BR(W) double royal letterpress Posters detailing excursions to Taunton July 1956 and to Minehead July 1957. Both are from stations along what is now the West Somerset Railway. (2). 48/269 £65 LNER untitled enamel Sign “Cross the railway by the subway only” with directional arrow. Some light chipping but a scarce survivor from a main line station on the London approaches. 920x587mm. (36x23in).
48/67 £75 LSWR Station Train Departure Board enamel Plate “Esher Surbiton”. Very good condition. 171x98mm. (6.75x3.8in). 48/271 £75 LSWR Station Train Departure Board enamel Plate “Brookwood”. v.g.c. 170x98mm. (6.7x3.8in).
48/72 £75 MR General Purpose Handlamp. Top has an oval “Midland Railway” brass label. Back stamped “139”. Vessel bears brass label “Midland Railway for petroleum only” and the blue porcelain burner has “MR Co” on the brass handwheel. Complete with reflector and glasses (one side glass cracked). Restored. 48/316 £25 SR / BR(S) untitled enamel Sign “Caution Motor Vehicles must not pass over this weighbridge without permission by order”. Some service chips and a small corrosion hole. 482x482mm. (19x19in).
48/78 £250 LSWR 4 aspect Handlamp. Top has brass location plate “Grateley” and brass “E” (Eastleigh) plate. Body is stamped “L&SWR 3224” and has brass “L&SWR Co.” plate. Top & body also have matching brass “208” plates. Complete with “LSWR” vessel, “SR” burner, reflector and all glasses (orange cracked). Restored. 48/326 £140 “LBSC 8 Tons 3635” rectangular cast iron Wagon Plate. Face restored only and scarce.

48/96 £75 LSWR Station Train Departure Board enamel Plate “Byfleet Woking”. Small edge chip otherwise v.g.c. 171x151mm. (6.75x6in). 48/342 £20 Hornby R. 078 GWR 4-6-0 No. 6024 “King Edward I”. Excellent condition with original box.
48/133 £400 “Great Central & Midland Joint Line” fully titled cast iron Trespass Notice (Midland Rly. pattern) dated “June 1899”. A very scarce sign in totally unrestored condition from the short stretch of joint line from Thryburgh and Roundwood Junctions to Braithwell Junction in South Yorkshire. 48/374 £600 Midland Railway 12in. Roundhead Wall Clock in a fine figure hardwood surround. The fusee movement is held within ‘A’ shaped plates spaced via turned stout pillars. The re-written dial reads “Midland Railway” in correct style. The back box has two doors and pin holes to indentify where the “LMS” oval plate was fixed. A lovely clock in working order complete with pendulum and key. It is possible that this may be a LT&SR clock taken over by the MR when they absorbed this company in 1912.
48/154 £75 LSWR Station Train Departure Board enamel Plate “Addlestone Chertsey”. v.g.c. 171x98mm. (6.75x3.8in). 48/377 £40 Indian Railway 3 aspect sliding knob Handlamp with unusual tall neck. Complete with original vessel, burner, reflector, lining drum and all glasses. Totally unrestored.
48/183 £75 A selection of BR Marine Dept. China by Tuscan China Co.: Comprises teapot with lid; milk jug; cream jug; sugar bowl; sauce boat; 7 coffee cups and saucers (one cup has handle loss). All face marked with the lion, wheel and crown device over 3 wavy lines. Very good condition. (18 pieces). 48/452 £75 LSWR Station Train Departure Board enamel Plate “Byfleet Woking” in v.g.c. 170x98mm. (6.7x3.8in).
48/225 £1800 Southern Railway enamel Station Target Sign “Ventnor”. Some very well executed restoration to enamel losses (non affecting lettering) to produce a fine looking target with good deep colour and shine. A very scarce sign from this Isle of Wight Terminus which opened in Sept. 1866 and closed in April 1966. The station was approached via a long single bore tunnel under St. Boniface Down and occupied a unique site. 48/473 £180 BR(S) fully flanged enamel Doorplate “Waiting Room”. Small corner and edge chips. Main area in good condition except for the usual very light scratches.

48/260 £1500 “The Cunard Steamship Company Limited” large cast aluminium Headboard. Thought to have been carried on the front of a locomotive hauling the Paris to Cherbourg Boat Train. The full company title around a lion holding a world globe. Very good condition and impressive. 610mm. (24in) dia. 48/499 £650 GWR cast iron Signal Box Plate “Tolcarn Junction Signal Box”. A superb sign in fine ex-service condition. A Cornish box near Newquay and junction for the line to Chacewater via Perranporth.
