from the short stretch of joint line from Thryburgh and Roundwood
Junctions to Braithwell Junction in South Yorkshire. |

Midland Railway 12in. Roundhead Wall
Clock in a fine figure hardwood surround. The fusee movement is held
within ‘A’ shaped plates spaced via turned stout pillars. The re-written
dial reads “Midland Railway” in correct style. The back box has two
doors and pin holes to indentify where the “LMS” oval plate was fixed.
A lovely clock in working order complete with pendulum and key. It
is possible that this may be a LT&SR clock taken over by the MR when
they absorbed this company in 1912. |

Station Target Sign “Ventnor”. Some very well executed restoration
to enamel losses (non affecting lettering) to produce a fine looking
target with good deep colour and shine. A very scarce sign from this
Isle of Wight Terminus which opened in Sept. 1866 and closed in April
1966. The station was approached via a long single bore tunnel under
St. Boniface Down and occupied a unique site. |
