84/30 SOLD Cast brass Locomotive Nameplate “Benjamin Brown”. Face restored only. 48in. long. As carried by Peckett Type R1 0-4-0ST built 1902 (Wks. No. 938). New to the Widnes Foundry & Engineering Co. Ltd. and named after the company chairman. It was cut up by T.W. Ward Ltd. in 1945. £350

84/126 Great Western Railway 126in. long Platform Bench from Ruabon station complete with three “GWR” scroll cast iron supports (2 have repairs) and original wooden planks. It was purchased by the vendor in 1971 from Collector’s Corner and during refurbishment of the woodwork the original “Ruabon” sign written station name was discovered and carefully painted back in. The bench has been kept protected from the weather for the last thirty years and will need to be collected from Luton by the successful bidder by arrangement. c.£400

84/299 SOLD “South African Railways / Suid Afrikaanse Spoorwee 2963 15F” cast aluminium Locomotive Cabside Numberplate together with “PE” Depot and “Shunt” cast aluminium plates as carried by the 4-8-2 built by the North British Loco Co. in 1939 (Works No. 24503). All face restored and mounted on a metal panel 29.5×23.75in. Together with cast brass locomotive worksplate “North British Locomotive Company Ltd. Glasgow No. 26404 1949” as carried by the SAR Class 24 No. 3692. Face restored only. This loco was scrapped at Touws River circa 1985. £350

84/375 Cast brass Locomotive Nameplate “Leviathan” as carried by the LMS ‘Jubilee’ Class 4-6-0 No. 45704. Built at Crewe in 1936 it was a Carlisle Kingmoor, Edge Hill, Camden, Rugby and Crewe North loco in BR days, withdrawn from the latter in Jan 1965 and cut up at Cashmore’s, Great Bridge. This is the right hand nameplate, face restored only and a resounding Warship name. 29in. long. £6000
