1 LSWR 4 aspect Handlamp with side door stamped in the top brass ring “Broadclyst” and in the body “L&SWR Co. 33”. Brass plated “E” and “6/67A”. Complete with “L&SWR” vessel & reflector all fittings and glasses and in v.g.c. Devoid of paint. SOLD FOR

2 GWR brass cased Locomotive “Oil Gauge to valves and pistons”. 8.25in. dia. and on a wooden mount. Gauge is back painted “Ex-7921 Edstone Hall obtained from derelict loco in Risca Sidings 6th. August 1964”. SOLD FOR

8 Cast iron Locomotive Smokebox Number Plate “31906” as carried by the Southern Railway U1 Class 2-6-0 built at Eastleigh in 1931 and in BR days allocated to Stewarts Lane, Tonbridge, Nine Elms and Norwood Junction. It was w/d from the latter in Dec. 1962 and cut up at Eastleigh. The loco had a claim to fame when during March 1954 it was one of two U1’s trialled over the Somerset & Dorset Line working between Bath and Bournemouth. Photographs of it appear in Ivo Peters S&D books. The smokebox plate is in v.g.c. and in ex-loco paintwork. SOLD FOR

18 Oval engraved brass Locomotive Worksplate “Peckett & Sons 1910 No. 1219 Bristol”. Remains of red infill to engraving. Captive bolts still to the back. Face lightly polished only. 11.5×8.25in. As carried by the 0-6-0ST. new to Henry Stobart & Co. Etherley, Bishop Auckland. To Thorne Colliery, Doncaster in 1931, taken over by the NCB in Jan 1947. In 1963 it went to Carcroft Central Workshops and returned to Thorne circa 1965. Scrapped in August 1968. SOLD FOR

The loco was cut up at Rotherham in Feb. 2013. Note that this is one of the rarer “Stephenson Works” lettered plates. SOLD FOR

29 Great Western Railway 3 aspect ‘Reform Patent’ Handlamp. Bearing an oval brass plate “The Reform Lighting Co. Patent London”. The body is stamped “GWR” and beneath the old green paint is marked “Grade 1 Porter”. The words “red” and “green” are stamped on the aspect drum. Complete with all fittings including “GWR” burner and all glasses. Superb original condition. SOLD FOR

38 BR enamel Signal Box Nameboard “Alderbury Junction” from the junction of lines to Romsey / Southampton and West Moors / Bournemouth south of Salisbury. The latter closing in May 1964. Alderbury was unusual in that it was provided with a staff only platform for the convenience of signalmen and their families based at the isolated junction. The sign is in good condition 96x12in. 40 Cast brass Locomotive Nameplate “The Needles” as carried by the H2 Class Brighton Atlantic built in 1911 No. 2423. It was w/d from Brighton in May 1949 the first of the class to be withdrawn. Face restored only 40.25in. long. The rocky outcrop known as The Needles lie off the west coast of the Isle of Wight. SOLD FOR
