172 Oval cast brass Locomotive Builders Plate “LMS Built 1927 Horwich”. Curved to fit the smokebox as carried by the ‘Crab’ 2-6-0 No. 13026 / 42726 w/d from Newton Heath in Oct. 1962 & cut up at Horwich. Minor torch damage to left bolt hole & very lightly face polished only. sold for

174 “Zepp Charm” made out of framework of Zeppelin brought down in Essex by The Aircraft Defences September 1916. Sold for the benefit of the L&NWR War Seal Fund. It features a metal cross marked “Zeppelin” on a string tie on its original titled sales card. A scarce survivor. sold for

215 Cast iron Locomotive Smokebox Numberplate “43153” as carried by the (LMS) ‘Flying Pig’ 2-6-0 Built at Doncaster (2098 of 1951), and allocated to the M&GNJR at Melton Constable. On closure of that depot it was transferred to Colchester, Lincoln, New England and Staveley. W/d from the latter June 1965 and cut up by Ward’s, Killamarsh. The smokebox is cleaned otherwise ex-loco. (See next lot). sold for
