Charing Cross, Euston & Hampstead Railway 3 aspect Handlamp. It is stamped “CXE & HRy”, embossed “10” and has a makers plate “John Phillips Light of London Lamps”. A slide in brass “Wembley Park” tag is fitted to the body. Complete with copper vessel, all fittings and glasses. Restored. A rare lamp indeed. The CXE & HR was incorporated in 1893, leased to the London Underground Electric Railways in 1903 and amalgamated with two other concerns to form the London Electric Railway in 1910. |
