495 Cast iron Locomotive Smokebox Numberplate “48558” as carried by the LMS 8F 2-8-0 built at Darlington in 1945 (Works No. 1965) and on loan to the LNER. Then to the LMS in 1947. Into BR service at Buxton followed by Widnes, Buxton again, Warrington, Aintree and Rose Grove where withdrawal came in October 1965. It was stored at Glasgow Eastfield for three months and cut up at Campbell’s, Airdrie in March 1966. n/s

Cleaned otherwise ex-loco condition as carried by the J38 Class 0-6-0 shedded at St. Margaret’s and Thornton Junction in BR days. It was withdrawn from the latter in October 1966 and cut up by Motherwell Machinery & Scrap Co., Wishaw. sold for
