An original brass framed Cab Window from the S&DJR 7F 2-8-0 Locomotive No. 88 later 13808 and 53808. This is the left hand horizontal cab front window positioned above the loco firebox. It is clearly stamped “LMS” and “L88” and is glazed with perspex to replace the original broken glass. The locomotive was built for the S&DJR in 1925 by Robert Stephenson & Co. and allocated to Bath Green Park. On withdrawal it was despatched to Barry Scrapyard where it resided for six years before rescue for preservation. |
