151 LNER double royal letterpress Poster “A New Halt between Nostell and Hemsworth stations to be known as Fitzwilliam Halt. To be opened 1st. June 1937”. Also shows table of fares to other local Yorkshire stations. A couple of edge nicks otherwise folds only. SOLD FOR

152 GWR mahogany cased Semaphore Signal Repeater with brass “Lever No. 17” plate. Fine ex-signal box condition from the Glyn Valley Railway which opened in 1873 between Chirk and Glynceiriog and closed in 1935. SOLD FOR

154 Locomotive Smokebox Numberplate “41712”. As carried by the Class 1F Johnson ‘Half Cab’ 0-6-0T built by the Midland Railway at Derby in 1882. A Cricklewood, Nottingham and Kirkby in Ashfield loco in BR days. It was w/d from the latter in Oct. 1964 and cut up by Cohens, Kettering. SOLD FOR

155 Midland Railway heavy metal Toolbox as fitted on the left hand running plate of a Class 1F 0-6-0T. Loco which were called ‘Half Cabs’. When the locos were scrapped these toolboxes were re-used at Derby Works for the storage of workman’s tools. This example is reputed to have been used in the blacksmith’s shop. V.g.c. SOLD FOR

158 Cast brass Industrial Locomotive Nameplate “Shotley Park”. Ex-Andrew Barclay No. 1408 of 1915 which worked at I.C.I. Billingham, then to Whitehaven Colliery Co. scrapped in 1965. A lovely plate with serif letters and scalloped corners. 50.75in. long. Face restored only. SOLD FOR

As carried by Class 11F / D11 ‘Director’ 4-4-0 either “Mons”, “Zeebrugge”, “Somme”, “Jutland”, “Ypres” or “Marne” which were built that year. The plate 10.5×6.6in is in fine condition devoid of paint on the face. SOLD FOR

170 LNER copper and brass Marine Lamp stamped “LNER DED” (Docks Engineers Dept) and brass plated “Telford”. An impressive lamp, complete and superbly presented. “Telford” was a barge loading dredger on the River Humber at Hull built by Lobnitz & Co. Ltd. Renfrew in 1926. An extract from the 1923-1926 LNER papers describing the vessel’s purchase accompanies. SOLD FOR

175 Great Northern Railway Station Platform Lamp comprising copper lamp case clearly stamped “GNR” with two white glass “Bingham” name panels (one original engraved type and one hand painted to match). Complete with all clear glass panels, correct pattern interior lamp with burner and ‘brandy’ glass globe, and mounting frog which fits to the “GNR” monogrammed cast iron post which is 96in. tall of which 24in. plants in the ground. The successful purchaser to collect the post from Leicester by arrangement. SOLD FOR
