553 BR(M) fully flanged enamel Station Totem Sign “Syston”. One very tiny face chip otherwise flange chips only. Superb colour and shine. A former Midland Rly. station between Loughborough and Leicester closed in March 1968 but re-opened by Railtrack in May 1994. SOLD FOR

563 Hull & Barnsley Railway Policeman’s Handlamp, single aspect with a blanking off slide. Long metal plate to the body “H&BR Alex Dk. Police 162” and a brass makers plate “Arthur J. Poole M&C 1903 Birmingham”. Complete with original “HBR 162” vessel, all fittings and a fine bullseye lens. The top handle wrapped in copper wire. Unrestored and rare. SOLD FOR

566 Pair of LNER ‘9×5’ cast iron Works Numberplates “London & North Eastern Railway 4122 1946” and “4123 1946”. One is face restored only, the other unrestored. Both have slightly enlarged bolt holes and were carried by the tenders attached to B1 Class 4-6-0’s nos. 61132 and 61133 respectively. (2). SOLD FOR

568 Oval cast brass Locomotive Builders Plate “LMS Built 1930 Crewe”. Face restored and displayed on a wooden mount. Locos built that year were ‘Crab’ 2-6-0’s nos. (4)2850 to (4)2924 and 7F 0-8-0’s (4)9600 to (4)9602. The plate measures 10.5x6in. SOLD FOR

570 Cast iron Locomotive Smokebox Numberplate “48371” as carried by the LMS 8F Class 2-8-0 built at Horwich in 1944. A Wellingborough, Hasland and Edge Hill loco it was w/d Oct. 1967 and cut up at Buttigiegs, Newport. the plate has been face painted a while ago. SOLD FOR
