351 “London & North Eastern Railway” headed wooden Publicity 3 tier Unit. Repaired split to upper back panel but looks good and otherwise v.g.c. 19.75×6.5in. x 17.25in. tall. SOLD FOR
352 BR(S) fully flanged enamel Station Totem Sign “Guildford”. A very tiny scratch above ‘GU’ otherwise superb condition. A former LSWR station. SOLD FOR
353 “LNE & LMS Joint 48” oval cast iron Bridge Number Plate. V.g.c. and unrestored. SOLD FOR
354 GNR large 3 aspect Handlamp with fogging glass brass plated “Great Northern Railway Company Boston Pass. No. 25”. Complete with “GNR” vessel, all fittings and glasses except red shade. Ex-service condition. SOLD FOR
355 Great Northern Railway Station Platform Bench with two “GNR” marked cast iron supports and original LNER cast iron back rail nameplate “Blankney”. The original woodwork is in fine condition, stripped of paint and clear varnished. 108in. o/all length. Purchaser to collect from Talisman Storage Unit. SOLD FOR
356 LNER or BR(E) flangeless enamel Sign “No access to station. Station Master’s Office and station should be approached from the main entrance”. Chips to three screwholes. Good colour and shine under the ex-station condition dirt. 24x24in. SOLD FOR
357 “North Eastern Railway” Poster headed “Tyne Ports”. It lists sailings from the ports for July and August 1892 together with general information and a diagram of the NER Tyneside stations. Some light creasing otherwise good condition and a scarce survivor. In a glazed frame 37×24.5in. o/all. SOLD FOR
358 Cast iron Locomotive Smokebox Numberplate “61299” as carried by the (LNER) B1 Class 4-6-0 built by the NBL Co. (26200 of 1948). A Leicester and Colwick engine w/d from the latter in July 1965 and cut up by Cohen’s, Ickles. The plate is face restored only and bolted to a mahogany display panel. (See next lot). SOLD FOR
359 (LNER) Oval cast brass ‘9×5’ Locomotive Works Numberplate “London & North Eastern Railway 61299 N. B. Loco Co. 1948”. Face restored only. (See previous lot for details). SOLD FOR
360 Two BR(ER) Best Kept Stations Competition Certificates 1954. Awarded 3rd. Class Prize for Mablethorpe and Long Sutton. In their original glazed frames 12.5×10.5in. Both stations closed in 1970 and 1959 respectively. SOLD FOR
361 Wooden Signal Box Board with applied letters “Sinderby”. V.g.c. and face restored only. 45.5×11.25in. Sinderby was on the Harrogate – Northallerton line closed in Jan. 1962. SOLD FOR
362 Midland Railway Cart or Wagon Rear Lamp. Stamped “MR Co” and oval plated “3966” “Jones Patent” brass plate for 1915 inside. Complete with “LMS” vessel, all fittings and glasses and restored. N/S
363 GNR Crossing gate Lamp. Brass plated “Great Northern Railway No. 28951” and large copper plates “Old Leake” and “Down Side South”. With an interior lamp. The lamp is mounted on a copper pole for locating on the gate. Restored. Top collar and catch a/f. Complete with glasses. SOLD FOR
364 North Eastern Railway wooden cased Home Signal Indicator Instrument in fine ex-signal box condition. SOLD FOR
365 North British Railway 12in. drop dial non-fusee Clock in a mahogany case with a lenticle by Seth Thomas, Connecticut, USA in 1900. LNER ivorine numberplate “16017” is attached to the inside of the case together with the original supplier’s label (very desirable). Complete with pendulum and key. SOLD FOR
366 LMS quad royal pictorial Poster “Crewe Works Building ‘Coronation’ Class Engines” by Lilli Rethi. A superb and stylish poster showing the streamlined engines under construction. Minor edge nicks and folds. A classic and scarce image. SOLD FOR

369 Great Central Railway 3 aspect Handlamp stamped “GCR 25284” and brass plated “GCR 25284 Market Rasen”. V.g.c. and complete with all fittings and glasses. Unpainted. N/S
370 Great Western Railway Carriage Roof Pot Lamp. Large brass plate “Return to General Stores Swindon 167”. V.g.c. complete with glass globe & original “GWR” marked brass burner. SOLD FOR
371 “Lancashire Derbyshire & East Coast Railway Dukeries Route” so headed double sided Programme of Tourist & Weekend Bookings, Excursions and Tickets etc. Dated 1900. Lists all the LD & ECR stations and some of those on the GNR, GER, NER & MR. Very informative and in a glazed frame 18x11in. SOLD FOR

373 Great Central Railway Coat of Arms. An early example nicely presented in its original glazed oak frame. 20.5×16.5in. o/all. SOLD FOR
374 Diamond cast brass Locomotive Builders Plate “North British Locomotive Company, Ltd. Glasgow. 1929 Queen’s Park Works No. 23859”. As carried by the GWR 57XX Class 0-6-0PT. No. 5741. A Newport, South Wales engine it was w/d June 1957 and cut up at Swindon. The plate is cleaned otherwise ex-loco and in v.g.c. 15.1×6.25in. SOLD FOR
375 Great Northern Railway dense rubber Door Mat. The “GNR” initials to the centre being part of the perforated design. SOLD FOR
376 GNR 3 aspect Handlamp brass plated “Great Northern Railway Company Swineshead 3” (Sleaford – Boston line) and a relocation plate “Shippea Hill” (Ely – Thetford line). Complete with all fittings and glasses. Part of porcelain burner missing and unrestored. N/S
377 Two Great Central Railway letterpress Poster Notices: One refers to the Coronation of H.M. King George V. June 22nd. 1911 and that the Grimsby Fish market will be closed. 23x18in. The other example states regulations as to vehicular traffic at Grimsby and Immingham Docks 1920. 27x18in. Both are in good condition. (2). SOLD FOR
378 Rectangular cast aluminium Locomotive Builders Plate “British Railways Darlington Built 1964 Power Equipment by Associated Electrical Industries Ltd and Sulzer”. As carried by the Class 25DE Loco No. 25234, formerly D7584. The plate has a restored break down the right side and the back is marked “25234”. 13×6.5in. SOLD FOR
379 LNER 4 aspect Handlamp from the Midland & Great Northern Joint Railway. Brass plated “London & North Eastern Railway Moulton M&GN”. Complete with all fittings and glasses (orange is damaged). SOLD FOR
380 Great Northern Railway Humidor (cigar box) in the form of a four wheeled goods wagon. The body painted “GNR” and is on a rolling metal chassis complete with buffers. The hinged lid with coal effect top gives access to the two compartment interior with a mixing bowl and match striker. Complete with lock and key. V.g.c. 13.25in. long o/all buffers. SOLD FOR
381 “GNR Coningsby” brass headed Office Stamp on a turned wooden handle together with a “LNER Coningsby and Lincoln” brass plated leather Cash Bag retaining the original wax impression of the aforementioned stamp. V.g.c. (2). SOLD FOR
382 Coloured Signal Box Diagram “Staveley Central North Junction” detailing main line Killamarsh to London and junctions to Hall Lane and Chesterfield. Dated 1/5/61. An impressive diagram in v.g.c. in a glazed frame 67×23.5in. o/all. SOLD FOR
383 Cast iron Locomotive Shedplate “16A” (Nottingham). A LMS style plate. Face restored. SOLD FOR
384 LMS 3 aspect Driver’s Handlamp embossed “LMS”, brass plated “LMS 63552” and painted “16A 278”. Ex-Nottingham M.P.D. complete with all fittings and glasses and is in fine original condition. SOLD FOR
385 A substantial painted double sided wooden Sign “No Smoking” from the former North Staffs. Rly. Goods Shed at Longport. Fitted with metal straps to one face the sign is in very good original condition. 37.5x25in. overall frame. SOLD FOR
386 North Eastern Railway miniature 3 aspect Handlamp. Back handles replaced with a small bracket. Complete with all fittings and glasses and has original paintwork together with a similar NER miniature example complete. (2). SOLD FOR

388 Carriage print “Tattershall, Lincolnshire” by Freda Marston from the LNER 1945 – 47 series. In an original glazed frame with toughened glass. SOLD FOR
389 Southern Railway Station enamel Seat Back Plate “Norbury”. Re-touched enamel loss to ‘OR’. Good colour and shine. 48in. long. A former LBSCR South London station. SOLD FOR
390 Great Northern Railway Station Platform Lamp comprising copper lantern with two “New Bolingbroke” nameglasses, frog and “GNR” monogrammed cast iron post. V.g.c. and wired for electricity. The post is 90in. long of which 24in. plants in the ground. The lantern and frog are 33in. tall. Buyer to collect from Talisman Storage Unit. New Bolingbroke station was on the GNR ‘New Line’ and closed in Oct. 1970. SOLD FOR
391 GNR large oval engraved brass Worksplate “Great Northern Railway Co. No. 1294 Makers 1911 Doncaster Works” as carried by the N1 Class 0-6-2T No. 4579 / 9459 / 69459 allocated to Bradford for working push and pull services to Leeds Central etc. It was w/d March 1955 and cut up at Doncaster. The plate is face polished only. SOLD FOR
392 An original wooden Poster Board retaining an equally original BR(ER) double royal poster “The Queen of Scots” by Reginald Hayes pasted to it. It features the ‘A4’ hauled train with a tartan foreground. Scuffed and grubby but such an iconic image. 43.5x28in. o/all. SOLD FOR

397 Cast brass LNER Plaque commemorating “Mallard’s” World Record Speed Achievement on July 3rd. 1938. These plaques were reproduced in a limited issue by the National Railway Museum and this example is no. 166. Mounted on a polished mahogany panel. N/S
398 Rolled coloured Signal Box Diagram “Pyewipe West Sidings” showing the lines from Boston and Lincoln and those to Tuxford plus the sidings themselves. Dated 1/2/57. 62x24in. SOLD FOR
