It was w/d May 1967 and cut up by Cashmore’s, Great Bridge. The back of the plate bears the cast “BR(S)” triangle mark. |

The original loco was a Class Y5 0-4-0ST built by Neilson & Co. in 1876 & withdrawn in Feb. 1917. To the Admiralty, Beachey Dock, Chepstow then to Fairfield Shipbuilding & Engineering Co. Rebuilt with a new boiler and safety valves by Neilson’s in Feb. 1895. The loco still exists, preserved. |
