51 Oval cast brass Locomotive / Tender Builders Plate “Great Northern Railway Makers Dundalk 64B 1901”. Face restored only. 9.6×5.75in.
52 GER celluloid and tinplate Match Box Cover. The spine is titled “Great Eastern Hotel Liverpool Street London” and the faces have colour images of the “Sandringham Hotel, Hunstanton” and “Great Eastern Hotel, Harwich”. Some rusting but a scarce item.
53 Rolled coloured Signal Box Diagram “Hotchley Hill Sidings” dated Oct. 1947. Shows the many sidings in this area around East Leake on the former GCR south of Nottingham. Tears at end, small edge losses and some staining. 72×20.5in.
54 “Beware Rail & Road Traffic” cast iron Notice. Face restored only. 16x10in.
55 Cast iron Locomotive Shedplate “26A” (Newton Heath). A LMS style plate very lightly face restored only.
56 South Eastern & Chatham Railway 4 aspect Handlamp stamped “SE&CR” and with brass plates “SE&CR G5256” and “A” (Ashford). Complete with rape oil vessel, all fittings and glasses and restored.
57 Miniature steel Single Line Staff, the end inscribed “Athenry” and “Ballyglunin” from the Athenry & Tuam Railway then GS&WR.
58 LNER cast brass ‘9×5’ Locomotive Works Numberplate “London & North Eastern Railway 9136 Neilson & Co. 1910”. Face lightly restored only. As carried by the ex-NBR N15 Class 0-6-2T.
59 French Loco / Train Head & Tail Lamp with “Chemin de Fer” and “5061” & “73” brass plates. Complete with original vessel, all fittings and glasses. Good ex-service condition 16in. tall plus swing top handle.
60 Mahogany cased Signal Box Instrument with gothic arch shaped top. “Train on Line / Line Clear / Line Blocked” needle display repeated on the base with selector switch. Aluminium face plate “Birkham East”.
61 Flamecut Cabside Plate ex-BR ‘08’ Class Diesel Shunter “08351” complete with data panel and “SW Swindon” depot label. Good original condition with cleanly cut edges. 30.25×24.5in.
62 “Southern Railway” base marked china Teapot and matching lid by Dudson. V.g.c.
63 A Cheshire Lines Committee post grouping Handlamp with a NER top. The body is stamped “CLC Halewood 4547”. Complete with all fittings and glasses. Restored.
64 Cast aluminium Locomotive Shedplate “87E” (Landore). From one of the depot’s diesels. Ex-loco condition.
65 BR(WR) double royal letterpress Poster with pictorial heading “Cafeteria Car Excursion to Southampton, Bournemouth, Portsmouth & Southsea” from West Midland stations 1959. Folds and minor edge creasing
66 Box of LNER Glassware. Five items including a water carafe, Restaurant Car fluted glass, ditto beer glass and two different tumblers. All in v.g.c. (5).
67 Two “NER Builders” small oval cast iron Coach Plates. “York 1894” and “Shildon 1922”. Both unrestored. (2).
68 Brecon & Merthyr Railway rosewood and brass Spirit Level nicely top marked “B&MR 14”. Working order 9in. long. A lovely item from a seldom offered company.
69 “Peckett & Sons Ltd. Bristol 1924 No. 1587” engraved brass Locomotive Builders Plate. Ex-Loco condition, lightly polished. 12×8.5in. The rear bolts curtailed. Ex 0-6-0ST Type X2 new to South Leicestershire Colliery Co.
70 “GER P. W. Department Fog Signals Mistley” so painted metal Box in original ex-service condition. 10.5x7in. x 7in. tall. Manningtree – Harwich line.
71 Midland & Great Northern Joint Railway leather Cash Bag with brass plate “M&GN Jt. Gedney – Long Sutton”. Also marked “BR”. V.g.c. From the Spalding to Sutton Bridge section closed in 1959.
72 Carriage Print “Kings Lynn Saturday Market Place, Norfolk” by Leonard Squirrell from the LNER 1945 – 55 series. V.g.c. and in an original glazed frame.
73 Cast iron Locomotive Smokebox Numberplate “61160”. Ex-B1 Built by the Vulcan Foundry (5518 of 1947). It was w/d from Colwick in Sept. 1963 & cut up by Cashmore’s, Great Bridge.
74 Painted double sided small wooden Carriage Board “York / Hull”. Original condition. 32.5in. long.
75 North British Railway glazed stoneware small Teapot by Lovatt of Langley Mill. “NBR Hotel Edinburgh” garter to the face. “Hot Water” embossed scrolls to the face and matching lid. V.g.c. and delightful. 4.5in. tall o/all.
76 LYR 3 aspect Handlamp stamped “Sorting Siding Aintree”. Complete with “CIE” vessel, all fittings and glasses including one aspect with purple slats.
77 Midland Railway large two handled Platform Barrow. The side stock painted “Rushden” but original location “Midland Road Bedford” is painted on the framework. Complete with iron wheels & frames, front hoop & straps. The woodwork is in fine condition and restored. 74in. long x 44in. tall o/all. Successful purchaser to collect from Talisman storage facility.
78 Cast iron Locomotive Shedplate “65C” (Parkhead). Small characters. Face restored only.
79 “L.N.E.R. Tees-Side Motor Club” circular cast aluminium Car Badge incorporating the S&D “Locomotion” engine to the centre. Original condition and rare. 3.75in. dia.
80 “Great Central Rly. Trespassers on this property will be prosecuted”. Face restored only. This is the rarer pattern of this style of sign.
81 BR(W) fully flanged enamel Station Direction Sign “British Railways” (in totem) Acocks Green Station” with left pointing arrow. Very minor edge chips otherwise fine condition with deep colour and shine. A former GWR station south east of Birmingham Snow Hill.
82 Midland Region pictorial and letterpress Poster “Visit Lakeland Lake Windermere from one of the Lake Yachts ‘Swan’ ‘Teal’ ‘Swift’ ‘Tern’”. Light grubbiness to left hand side, otherwise good condition with no folds. 30x20in.
83 BR(M) fully flanged enamel Station Totem Sign “Penns”. A former Midland Rly. station between Wolverhampton and Water Orton closed in Jan. 1965. A scarce totem with an edge chip to the lower panel otherwise minor edge wear only and with good colour and shine.
84 “Manchester Sheffield & Lincolnshire Railway” china Teaplate by Copeland. Top marked with the full MSLR title and crest. V.g.c. 7.75in. dia.
85 NER style 3 aspect Handlamp with impressive makers plate “Thos. Proctor & Son Manufacturer 29 Side Newcastle”. Complete with all fittings and glasses. Original condition with green paintwork. Rear catch a/f.
86 BR(W) Petroleum Store enamel Notice “BR(W) Danger” followed by nine lines of conditions. Good condition with general discolouring of the white. 14x10in.
87 LD&ECR or GCR enamel Signal Box Nameboard “Pyewipe West”. 46in. long. Some chipping but very good deep colour and shine. The box was west of Lincoln. A scarce survivor. (See also lot nos. 21, 340 and 410).
88 Signed Limited Edition Print of a painting by David Shepherd OBE titled “Guildford Steam Shed No. 1” featuring a grubby Southern Mogul No. 31873. This is No. 205 / 900 and is in a glazed frame with card mount. 19.75×18.75in. o/all. Pasted to the back is a biography of the artist also personally signed.

90 Brass faced steel Single Line Tablet inscribed “Camelford – Delabole 12” and “Not in use”. V.g.c. from the former LSWR ‘Withered Arm’ Halwill Jct to Padstow line closed Oct. 1966.
91 “Barry Railway Company” paper Notice informing that Whit-Monday June 12th. 1905 will be observed as a public holiday at Barry Docks. Some wear but a scarce survivor. In a glazed frame. 21.25×15.75in. o/all.
92 Eight “L&YR Co. Knottingley Depot” brass Paychecks with consecutive numbers 2 to 9. V.g.c. throughout.
93 “L&NWR & GWR Joint Lines 47” cast iron Bridge Numberplate. Face restored only.
94 Cast brass Locomotive Builders Plate “Fried. Krupp Locomotivfabrik Essen Germany 1953 No. 3047”. 10x4in. Slightly curved and unpainted.
95 Nottingham cast iron Road Sign “Crocus Street” in good unrestored condition. 31in. long.
96 Oval cast iron Wagon Plate “Florence Coal & Iron Co. Ltd. Owners Trentham N.S.R.” Unrestored. A scarce North Staffs example. 11.5x7in.
97 BR(NE) painted wooden Station Running In Board “Normanton”. Fine original condition. 48x17in. o/all. A former Midland Rly. station also used by LYR and NER trains.
98 South Eastern Railway Policeman’s painted wooden Truncheon. “S.E.R.” with Victorian crown and foliate decoration. Fine original condition.
99 Belfast & Northern Counties Railway cast iron “201” Bridge Numberplate. Face restored only.
