Midland Railway Platform Lamp. The copper lamp top is from Basford station, Nottingham and is complete with all glazing and approx. 40in. tall. The ornate cast iron post has a makers mark “George Smith Co. Sun Foundry Glasgow & Clippens Ltd.” and is lacking one original ladder bar. It is 8 feet tall complete with frog and is bolted through the base plate directly into a concrete pad. i.e. none of the post is below ground. A handsome assembly. Buyer to collect from Nottingham. |
