351 Taff Vale Railway 3 aspect Handlamp stamped “TVR” in body and aspect drum. Complete with “TVR” vessel, all fittings and glasses. V.g.c. and unrestored.
352 Great Northern Railway of Ireland oval cast iron Bridge Numberplate “GNR(I) 10”. Face restored only a while ago.
353 “Oakington” coloured Signal Box Diagram with some paper overlays in its original glazed oak frame. 51.5×19.5in. o/all. Former GER St. Ives – Cambridge line. The station here closed Oct. 1970.
354 Midland & Gt. Northern Joint Railway Trespassers will be prosecuted” cast iron Notice, Midland Railway pattern. Nicely restored.
355 LNER Station Platform lamp Vessel plated “Meldreth”. Complete with brass burner and glass chimney. Restored. A station on the Cambridge – Hitchin line.
356 “Mid & GN” nickel Cap Badge in v.g.c.
357 Cast iron Smokebox Embellishment “The Burrell Traction Engine”. 20.75 dia. Two repairs to breaks but a fine item retaining most of the Thetford makers original chrome finish.
358 “Great Western Railway Hotels” silver plated Teapot by Mappin & Webb together with a silver plated sugar bowl by Martin Hall & Co. Both items face display the title scroll and twin shields device and are in v.g.c. (2).
359 Preston & Longridge Railway cast iron Boundary Marker lettered “P&L Ry. Boundary Post” (LNWR pattern). The P&LR opened in 1840, it was bought by the Fleetwood, Preston and West Riding Rly. in 1856. They were then absorbed jointly by the LNWR & LYR in 1866.
360 A C.L.C. Naptha Flare Lamp bearing a large brass Plate “Cheshire Lines Mouldsworth P.Way”. Vesssel and brass tap marked “CLC”. V.g.c. and complete with top hanging hook.
361 Wooden Railway Company Sign “First Class Waiting Room” with applied letters. V.g.c. and restored. 48x18in.
362 1:24 scale die cast Model of a Burrell Super Scenic Showman’s Traction Engine by Midsummer Models. No. 3888 “General Gough”. Fully detailed 11in. long. A superb mint model complete with its original box and all packaging.
363 1:50 scale Model of a set of Fairground Gallopers by Corgi Toys. Battery powered for the full working, sound and illumination experience! 12in. dia. A fine model in mint unused condition complete with its box and all packaging.
364 Cast iron Locomotive Shedplate “52B” (Heaton). Face restored and mounted on a wooden display panel.
365 Southern Railway Loco Fireman’s Shovel clearly marked “SR” on the metal shaft. V.g.c.
366 Original Artwork for a ‘GWR’ Preservation Era Poster by the renowned Don Breckon, titled “Travel by Train”. Featured is a GWR 14XX locomotive which the artist has signed in the margin. In a glazed clip frame 27.5×19.75in. o/all.
367 LNER cast iron Station Doorplate “Porters”. Restored a while ago. Plus a “Gloucester Railway Carriage & Wagon Co. Ld” large ‘G’ cast iron Wagon Plate. Unrestored. (2).
368 Three rolled coloured Signal and Track Diagrams: For Mexborough No. 2 (1931); Balby Jcn. 1954; Shaftholme Junction. All in v.g.c. (3).
369 Oval cast iron Bridge Numberplate “GN & GE 31” from a structure (farm crossing) between Nocton and Potterhanworth. Face restored only.
370 Carriage print “Lavenham, Suffolk” by Kenneth Steel from the 1948 – 55 series. V.g.c. and in an original type glazed frame.
371 Cast bronze Plate from the cab back head of a LNER Gresley Pacific “Coasting Cut-Off. When regulator is closed at speeds exceeding 25mph the gear must be put at 25% cut-off. 5.5x3in. plus fixing lugs.
372 Great Northern Railway mahogany cased underslung Block Bell with “North Side” plate. We believe this location is at Lowestoft on the Norfolk & Suffolk Joint line.
373 A pair of Great Eastern Railway leather Passes, First Class 1881 and 1882 issues to “Mr. H. Bassi (South Italian Railway)”. Both display the full title and coat of arms of the GER. V.g.c. (2).
374 GNR ‘Soup Plate’ Worksplate engraved “Great Northern Ry. Co. Makers Doncaster Works No. 1259 1910”. Face polished only. As carried by the ‘N1’ Class 0-6-2T No. 4564 / 9444 / 69444. A Copley Hill engine in BR days it was w/d in Oct. 1956 and cut up at Doncaster.
375 North British Ry. Co. St. Andrew’s Ambulance Association” nickel Medal inscribed to “Foster McKenzie 1896”. V.g.c. and scarce.
376 Great North of Scotland Railway 3 aspect Handlamp brass plated “Macduff”. Complete with all fittings and glasses and restored. The station, terminus of the long winding branch from Inveramsay closed in Oct. 1951.
377 Original “Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway” Coat of Arms Transfer mounted onto a blue painted wooden panel. A nice early crest.
378 Cast iron Locomotive Shedplate “84E” (Tyseley then Wadebridge).
379 Railway Executive (Western Region) double royal pictorial Poster “God Save The Queen 1953 British Railways pay their loyal tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II”. Fine artwork by “Shep” produced for the Coronation. V.g.c. with no folds.
380 L&NE Railway Trespassers will be prosecuted” cast iron Notice (GER pattern). Face restored only.
381 Oval cast iron Locomotive Worksplate “Built 1950 Derby”. Face restored only. 10.4x6in. Locos built that year were 2-6-4T. Nos. 42050 – 65, 42133 – 46 and DE Shunters 12067 – 87.
382 BR(WR) double royal pictorial Poster “The Night Western”. Dramatic artwork of a silhouetted ‘Castle’ Class loco against a night sky. V.g.c. with no folds.
383 Great Western Railway china Paste Pot with a fluted edge design and slots for brushes. Top marked “G.W.R.” V.g.c. 6.5in. dia x 3.4in tall.
384 BR(M) fully flanged enamel Station Totem Sign “Sutton Park”. Two chips to top edge otherwise light service wear only with good colour and shine. A former Midland Railway station between Wolverhampton and Water Orton closed in Jan. 1965.
385 Original Painting by the Grantham artist Terry Shelbourne depicting a scene at Grantham station platform 5 with local ‘C12’ 4-4-2T No. 67391 and an ‘A3’ in the loco yard. Oil on board and framed 33x23in. o/all.
386 “L&SWR Institute Committee” silver Lapel Badge inscribed “G. Campbell” on the reverse. A well crafted and scarce item of insignia in v.g.c.
387 A Signal Box Pegging Block Instrument with ivorine “Down Line” plate. The base marked “GNR Tele.”
388 GNR 3 aspect Handlamp brass plated “Great Northern Railway Company Howden Clough 5”. Complete with fittings and glasses. Lacks burner and door catch a/f. Restored. A station on the Bradford – Dewsbury Line closed in Dec. 1952. (See next lot).
389 LNER, GNR pattern 3 aspect Handlamp brass plated “London & North Eastern Railway Howden Clough 1”. Complete with all fittings and glasses. V.g.c. and restored.
390 Cast iron Locomotive Shedplate “62B” (Dundee Tay Bridge). Face restored and mounted on a wooden display panel.
391 Whistle Valve complete with lever ex-BR Class 9F 2-10-0 locomotive.
392 Double sided enamel “NCT Trolley Bus Fare Stage” Sign. Minor chips only otherwise v.g.c. 15.75x15in. From Nottingham City Transport.
393 “BR L.M.R. Signal Engineer’s Department Euston” large format official Book of Standard Drawings for Signalling Components. 146 sheets detailing everything to construct signals in hard covers. A wealth of valuable information. The book size is 16×13.5in.
394 Fibre Single Line Tablet inscribed “Catterick Camp Jct – Catterick Camp 10”. NER section of the Eryholme – Richmond branch closed to passengers in March 1969.
395 Carriage Print “Newark Castle, Nottinghamshire” by Kenneth Steel from the LNER 1945 – 55 series. V.g.c. and in an original type glazed frame.
396 “Caledonian Railway” fully titled Poster Map “Clyde Watering Places and Western and Central Highlands”. Shows routes via Wemyss Bay, Gourock, Ardossan & Balloch. Folds, fraying and some edge losses and laid on a chipboard panel. 37.25x27in. Written on the back is “Obtained from Oban station on demolition.”
397 Cast iron Fire Bucket Brackets. Three are marked “LD & ECR” & one “GNR”. All in g.c. (4).
398 LNWR mahogany cased ‘Fletchers’ double line Block Instrument with underslung bell and tapper clearly side marked “L&NWRy No. 1804”. V.g.c.
399 “LMR Collectors Corner” wooden Door Sign in original condition purchased after the facility closed. 26x16in. We all remember the various Collector’s Corner sites at Euston, particularly the one via the iron staircase! Pure nostalgia.
400 Cast iron Locomotive Smokebox Numberplate “61313”. As carried by the B1 Class 4-6-0 built by NBL Co. (26214 / 1948). A Sheffield Darnall engine for many years, finally w/d from Langwith Jct. in Nov. 1965 and cut up by Hughes, Bolckows Ltd., North Blyth. The smokebox is face restored only. (See next lot).
