251 Two Southern Railway reversible brass Document Bag Labels for “Horsmonden” and “Cranbrook”. Both reverse inscribed “Audit Accounts Office Dorking North”. Both stations on the Paddock Wood – Hawkhurst branch closed in June 1961. (2).
252 LMS cast aluminium ‘Hawkseye’ Station Sign “Broome”. Very good condition and face restored only. A former LNWR station on the Central Wales line between Craven Arms and Builth Road.
253 North Wales and Liverpool Railway cast iron Boundary Post, MSLR pattern. V.g.c. 30in tall. The NW & LR ran from Hawarden Bridge to Bidston and was a Joint Committee of the MS&LR and WM&CQR. It passed to the GCR in1904.
254 Cast iron Locomotive Shedplate “64A” (St. Margaret’s, Edinburgh). Restored.
255 Policeman’s wooden Truncheon lettered “LMS 23” surmounted with the “ER” monogram & crown. Presumably Edward the Eighth. Original condition, the wrist strap broken at the loop.
256 LNER miniature GNR pattern Handlamp with large copper plate “J.Ashton No. 25 Retford Loco.” Complete with all fittings and glasses. Some corrosion losses and unrestored except for polishing of bright parts.
257 London & North Eastern Railway 1514 Rebuilt Stratford Works 1938” cast brass ‘9×5’ Locomotive Works Numberplate. As carried by the ex-GER B12 Class 4-6-0 No. 61514 built in 1911. A Norwich loco in BR days it was w/d in Oct. 1959 and cut up at Stratford. A rare opportunity to acquire a B12 plate in v.g.c. Face restored only. (See next lot).
258 Scratch built ‘0’ gauge electric GER B12 4-6-0 Locomotive and Tender constructed to a high standard with good detailing. Finished in GER blue livery. A fine model by Walter West 16in. o/all buffers.
259 ‘0’ gauge electric Midland Railway 4-4-0 Compound Locomotive and Tender. Kit built to a high standard with much additional detailing. Painted and lined in MR livery by John Cockcroft. A superb model 15.75in. o/all buffers and in a stout box.
260 Bassett Lowke ‘0’ gauge 12v. electric Model of a Stanier 2-6-4 Tank Locomotive No. 2606 in LMS livery. Nice original condition and in working order. 12.75in. long o/all buffers and in a stout box.
261 Bassett Lowke ‘0’ gauge 12v. electric Model of ex-LMS 4P Compound 4-4-0 Locomotive and Tender in BR livery No. 41109. Nice original condition and in working order. 15.75in. o/all buffers and in a stout box.
262 Bassett Lowke ‘0’ gauge 12v. electric Model of a LNER 0-6-0 Tank Locomotive No. 433. Nice original condition and in working order. 9.6in. o/all buffers. In its original titled but careworn maker’s box.

270 A rake of scratch built ‘0’ gauge LNER ‘Teak’ Coaches. Nicely built. Each 16.8in. o/all buffers. (4).

273 Apedale Slag and Tarmacadam Co. Ltd. Empty to Apedale Sidings NSR” enamel Wagon Plate. Some losses but a scarce plate worthy of restoration. Very good colour and shine. 24x12in.
274 “L&NWR Co Broad St. Station Restaurant” silver plated circular Dish by Elkington. The full title top marked. Usual service wear to the interior base otherwise v.g.c. 8.75in. dia.
275 Cast iron Locomotive Smokebox Numberplate “43873”. Built at Derby in 1911 it was a Coalville and St. Albans engine in BR days. It was w/d June 1959 and cut up by Looms of Spondon. A fine smokebox in totally ex-loco condition.
276 Midland Railway large 3 aspect fluted top Handlamp, bearing three brass plates. Complete with all fittings and glasses and restored. A nice early example.
277 Cast aluminium Locomotive Headboard “The Thames – Clyde Express”. Face restored only. 40in. wide o/all. A fine old headboard from the St. Pancras – Leeds – Glasgow service.
278 “Keswick Station 1” cast brass Porters or Cab Drivers Badge complete with leather suspension strap. V.g.c. The CK&PR station closed in March 1972.
279 BR Switch Signalling Panel Plates (26) from Oakenshaw signal box, south west of Normanton. Descriptions include Goole, Crofton and local collieries. Mid 60’s period mounted on a board with five loose later examples.
280 A pair of Great Eastern Railway “GER” monogrammed cast iron Platform Seat Supports. V.g.c. and unrestored.
281 BR(M) Stop Watch by Nero Lemonia in an anodised and black Japanned case. The back is inscribed “BR(M) 1215”. V.g.c. and in working order.
282 Cast iron Locomotive Shedplate “51L” (Thornaby). Face restored only.
283 Wooden handled Office Stamp, the brass head inscribed “Salwick LMR 25”. V.g.c. A former Preston & Wyre Joint Line Station.
284 LNER cast iron Station Platform Seat Nameplate “Nafferton”. Good ex-service condition 32in. long. A former NER location between Driffield and Bridlington.
285 “Bury St. Edmunds Yard” rolled coloured Signal Box Diagram dated May 1943. A very busy diagram which includes the engine shed and turntable. G.c. 78.5×23.75in.
286 BR Scottish Region double royal Poster Closure Notice for the withdrawal of passenger services over the ‘Waverley’ Route. Aug. 1966. Lists all stations. 2 rear tape stains o/w good.
287 GER brass Rolling Ruler by Elliot Bros superbly engraved “Engineers Great Eastern Railway” in fine script. 24in. long and in its fitted mahogany case. Rather special.
288 Oval cast iron Locomotive Worksplate “Built 1951 Brighton”. Face restored only. Reputedly as carried by the Stanier 2-6-4 Tank No. 42084. 10.5x6in. A Whitby and Low Moor engine.
289 “London & North Western Railway Company” leather Match Box Holder, with a later BR matchbox. Impressed with the LNWR fully titled Britannia crest on the outer face. We have never seen one of these before.
290 “L&NW & GWR” brass Look-Out Man’s Warning Horn. V.g.c. and working order.
291 LNER glass Flower Vase, bearing the acid etched company intertwined script initials to the face. An elegant piece with a folded rim in v.g.c. 8.5in. tall.
292 British Rail double sided enamel Box Sign complete with wall mounting bracket. Both faces bear the double arrow device and are in v.g.c. 24x12in. Uncommon.
293 LMS sepia photographic Carriage Panel titled “Grasmere Church”. V.g.c. and in a glazed frame. The LMS obviously keen to promote the burial place of William Wordsworth.
294 GWR 3 aspect Silberlight Patent Handlamp with GWR and makers plates. “GWR” picked out in the base in pin holes. Complete with original vessel, “GWR” porcelain burner, all fittings and glasses including “GWR” etched front lens. Unrestored with some corrosion losses.
295 NER “Copmanthorpe” Station Platform lamp Case. The name glass a tad worn and cracked. Complete with all glasses, one new side glass (provided) requires fitting. The station was south west of York closed in 1959.
296 Cast iron Locomotive Shedplate “5A” (Crewe North). Face restored only a while ago.
297 “Danger Level Crossing” aluminium Road Sign with applied letters each complete with reflective beads. Nicely face restored. 48x24in.
298 Southern Railway small Handbell marked “SR” with turned wooden handle and clapper. 9.5in. tall.
299 Original pen and colour wash Painting by G. Wheatley depicting LMS Pacific No. 6231 “Duchess of Atholl” hauling an express over the snow covered Cumbrian fells on the WCML. A fine image on artboard in a glazed frame with card mount. 23×19.25in o/all. (See lot 121).
300 Cast brass ‘9×5’ Locomotive Works Numberplate “London & North Eastern Railway 62718 (strip) Darlington Works 1928”. Original number “2718” very clear. As carried by the D49 Class 4-4-0 “Kinross-shire”. A St. Margaret’s engine in BR days it was w/d April 1961 and cut up at Darlington. Face restored only.
