448 LNER ‘9×5’ cast brass Locomotive Works Numberplate “London & North Eastern Railway 1788 1921”. Face painted only and polished. A Cowlairs cast plate as carried by the ex-GNR later K2 Class 2-6-0 No. 4698 / 1788 / 61788 named “Loch Rannoch” built by Kitson, Leeds (5348 of 1921). Named in July 1933. A Fort William and Eastfield engine in BR days, it was w/d from the latter in June 1961 and cut up at Cowlairs Works. SOLD FOR
