LNER ‘9×5’ cast brass Locomotive Works Numberplate “L&NER 1747”. Face restored only with slight torch damage to bolt holes. As carried by the K2 2-6-0 61747 Built at Doncaster Works (1473 of 1916). A Sheffield Darnall engine it was w/d Dec. 1960 and cut up at Doncaster in the same month. The plate is accompanied with the original BR purchase receipt. |
