A good quality 8in. mahogany cased roundhead Wall Clock. The face is re-written “GNR 1138 Stockall, Marples & Co. Ltd. London. E.C. It has a fusee movement and cast brass bezel. Working order with pendulum and key. The records are a little vague but a clock with this number (later LNER 9626) is recorded as located in the District Superintendents Office at Essendine on the East Coast Main Line south of Grantham. |

An original Cab to Engine Room Door from the BR Class 55 ‘Deltic’ Locomotive No. D9012 / 55012 “Crepello”. Built by English Electric / Vulcan Foundry Sept. 1961. It was w/d May 1981 and cut up at BREL Doncaster. The door is in fine ex-loco condition 71.5x17in., radiused at the top to follow the loco body profile. It is complete with hinges, lever handles and circular glazed window. Warning labels are still in position i.e. “Caution Low Headroom”, “No Smoking or Naked Light in Engine Compartment”, “Ear Protection etc.”. We sold a similar door ex-D9006 / 55006 i our Nov. 2017 auction. (See next lot). |
