354 Cast iron Locomotive Smokebox Numberplate “33002” as carried by the SR ‘Q’ Class 0-6-0 designed by Bulleid to an Austerity design and built in 1942. Allocated to Guildford, Tonbridge and Feltham it was w/d in July 1963 and cut up by Cohen’s of Kettering. The plate with BR(S) Eastleigh triangle to the back was presumably damaged at the bolt holes during removal and has been neatly machined at the ends. SOLD FOR

355 Large LNWR single aspect Handlamp with curved back stamped “LNWR Car Dept. Wolverton E14726” and “Telegraph Rugby”. Complete with original “LNWR” rape oil vessel, large rear mounted reflector, all fittings and aspect glass. V.g.c. and restored. A rare pattern of lamp for the LNWR. SOLD FOR

376 North Eastern Railway mahogany cased 10in. dropcase Wall Clock. The ex-service dial is written “LNER 6288”. The fusee movement is held within ornately shaped brass plates spaced via turned brass pillars. Side door requires attention. The clock was located in the Tyne Yard, Newcastle and is complete with original purchase paperwork from BR in Aug. 1986, pendulum and key. Working order. NER 10in. drop case clocks are scarce. 400 Cast brass Locomotive Nameplate “Lord Rutherford of Nelson” as carried by the LMS ‘Jubilee’ Class 4-6-0 built at Crewe in 1935 and numbered 5665, later 45665. In BR days it was allocated to Kentish Town and Glasgow Corkerhill, being w/d in Dec. 1962 followed by cutting up at Campbell’s, Shieldhall. A very impressive plate 46.75in long, face restored only and one of only two double line ‘Jubilee’ nameplates. (See also lot no. 393). n/s
