56 Two glazed and framed Items relating to the Kirkstead – Little Steeping ‘New Line’ opened in 1913. One contains an original handbill with the first tickets issued from Midville to Stickney. The other contains the first ticket issued from Stickney on 1st. July 1913 to the Rev. G.H. Hales for a trip to Kirkstead and back. The ticket is numbered “0001” ! Small corner crack to one glass. 57 Signal Box Nameboard. Blue enamel “Cowbit Bank” in its original wooden frame 40×8.75in. Superb condition throughout. Cowbit Bank was a small crossing box between Clay Lake and Welland Bank Junction on the M&GNJR. SOLD FOR

72 LNER cast brass ‘9×5’ Locomotive Works Numberplate “London & North Eastern Railway 7131 Stratford Works 1914”. As carried by the GER Class C53 0-6-0 Tram Engine designed by Holden. It was GER No. 131 which became Class J70 No. 7131 in 1924, 8223 in 1946 and 68223 in 1949. From December 1927 it was one of a pair of these engines which worked on the Wisbech and Upwell Tramway. It was finally withdrawn in Sept. 1955 from Yarmouth Vauxhall and cut up at Stratford Works. A most interesting plate face restored only. SOLD FOR
