232 Large engraved brass Locomotive Builder’s Plate “Great Northern Ry. Co. Makers Doncaster Works No. 1229 1909”. As carried by the D2 Class 4-4-0 GNR No. 44 which became 3044 in 1924 and 2196 in 1946. The loco was withdrawn in May 1947 and cut up at Doncaster Works.
