8 Cast iron Smokebox Number Plate “61209” as carried by the LNER B1 Class 4-6-0 built by the North British Loco Co. 26110 of 1947. A long term Colwick resident it was w/d in Sept. 1962 and cut up at Looms of Spondon. The plate is face restored and displayed on a mahogany mount. (See next Lot). SOLD FOR

The in depth official report of these workings covering all the locos involved with detailed performance data on all the designated routes. Foolscap format nearly one inch thick! 131 pages (many of them fold out) contained in titled card covers. A very scarce work of historical significance presumably only issued to selected personnel. 28 Scottish North Eastern Railway 3 aspect Handlamp the body clearly stamped “S. N. E. Ry” also bears a large “McLennan, Glasgow” oval brass makers plate with the Victorian coat of arms. Complete with all fittings and glasses and restored. The SNER operated a line from Perth to Aberdeen and branches and was formed in 1856. It became part of the Caledonian Railway in 1866. SOLD FOR
