Cast brass ‘A4’ Class Regulator Plate ex-4499 / 60002 “Pochard” / “Sir Murrough Wilson”. “Coasting cut-off. When the regulator is closed at speeds exceeding 25 mph the gear must be put at 25% cut-off.” “2” is stamped in all four corners. The loco was built at Doncaster in 1938 (Wks. No. 1872) and was withdrawn May 1964 and cut up at Cargo Fleet. A scarce survivor. |

GNR Station Gas Lamp Lighter. Comprises the handle stamped “GNR” and plated “Great Northern Railway Company Nottingham High Level 2” and a copper tube wick holder. The two sections unscrew to facilitate the paraffin soaking of the wick. 477mm. long. Nottingham London Road High Level station closed in July 1967. |
