396 “Great Southern Railways” of Ireland original Coat of Arms Transfer nicely mounted onto a painted panel and presented in a glazed frame with gilt slip. 490x450mm. (19.3x17.7in) overall. Formerly in the collection of the London Railway Club then Woolwich Railway Museum. 406 “GNR 3” cast iron double bordered Bridge Numberplate with casting number “B99”. Face restored only.
397 “GNR 121” Occupation Crossing cast iron Numberplate. Face restored only. 407 ”Forth Railway Bridge” commemorative bone china Plate produced for the 1890-1990 centenary. The centre shows vignettes of the designer & contractor, Caley & BR locos & Scottish Saltires. The perimeter has illustrations of the stages of construction between 1884 and 1890. The back carries descriptive text. v.g.c.
398 Two Carriage Prints from the 1956 -57 Scottish Region Series: “Torridon Hills, Wester Ross” by W. Douglas Macleod and “The Falls, Invermoriston, Inverness-shire” by Kenneth Steel. Both have a couple of edge nicks and are laid on card. Presented in clip frames. (2). 408 “Mid & Gt. Northern Joint Railway brass and enamel First World War Service Badge in v.g.c. Scarce.
399 Rectangualr cast brass Locomotive Builders Plate “The English Electric Company Ltd. London 2982 / 8234 - 1961 Robert Stephenson & Hawthorns Ltd. Locomotive Works, England”. As carried by BR Bo-Bo Class 1 DE Loco No. D 8076 later Class 20 No. 20076. v.g.c. and lightly face restored only. 255x112mm. (10x4.4in). 409 Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants unframed Certificate presented to Isaac King by the Wigston Branch 10th May 1878. Postscript at bottom “Presented by the Wigston Branch for services rendered as Treasurer Jan 1st 1905 to Dec. 31st 1910”. Edge tears and corner bumps so only fair condition. Framing would certainly improve it.
400 LMS official Publication “Guide to Scottish Holiday Resorts” 448pp. plus folding system map pubd. in 1925. A scarce item of publicity in v.g.c. The contents clean and tightly bound. 410 LNWR 3 aspect Handlamp. Top stamped “L&NWR Car. Dept. Wolverton”. Body stamped “LNWR Netherfield & Colwich Traffic A 19918”. Complete with BR(M) vessel, burner, reflector, all glasses and LNWR back catch. v.g.c. & restored.
401 Cast iron Locomotive Shedplate “55A” (Leeds Holbeck). Ex-loco condition with much original orange background paint remaining. 411 Three LNER ‘Coronation’ ware silver plated Forks by Walker & Hall. All different and each is top marked with the “LNER” speed logo associated with this streamlined train. All v.g.c. (3)
402 LYR wooden handled Refreshment Room Corkscrew. The handle nicely lettered “LY”. v.g.c. 412 LNER official Booklet for the streamlined “Coronation” train. 12pp. 5th. July 1937. Lavishly printed in red & gold with blue ‘A4’ “Dominion of Canada” to covers. v.g.c.
403 BR(NE) fully flanged enamel Station Sign “Gentlemen”. A few very minor chips otherwise very good condition with fine colour and shine. 1220x305mm. (48x12in). 413 Two South African Railways nickle Bi-Lingual Cap Badges: “SAR / SAS” scroll below the South African coat of arms; and “SAR / SAS” intertwined device within a belted garter. v.g.c. (2).
404 GER metal Box stamped both sides “GER”. original painted legend to lid “GER Bishopsgate P.W. Department” and to front “Fog Signals”. Very good original condition. Front clasp part missing but retaining both side handles. 310x225x200mm. tall (12.2x8.8x8in). 414 Great Northern Railway original wooden Ball and Spike Signal Finial. v.g.c. and restored.
405 “LMS Railway Temperance Union” brass and enamel Lapel Badge. The full title around rose and thistle sprays and the LMS dragons wing device. Two tiny enamel scuffs o/wise v.g.c. 415 USA Pennsylvania Railroad cast iron Whistle Sign. A distinctively shaped plate incorporating the letter “W” with pattern no. “M53845” embossed on the back which also has an integral tubed collar for post fitting. Unusual and restored. This style of casting with running numbers also adorned steam loco smoke box doors and on the front of diesel locos with ‘PRR’ initials. 417x406mm. (16.4x16in).
