235 Midland Railway small cast iron Crane Plate “Not to exceed 3 cwt”. Face restored only. Ex-grain shed at Helpston on the Peterborough - Stamford Line. 246 “Great Central Railway” brass & enamel First World War Service Lapel Badge in v.g.c.
236 BR(M) coloured Signal Box Diagram “Wistow” on rolled laminated paper. Incorporates a gradient diagram and details the track and signals at this location between Kilby Bridge and Kibworth. v.g.c. 1170x420mm. (46x16.5in). 247 Two Carriage Prints from the 1956 - 57 Scottish Region Series: “Castle of Broughty, Broughty Ferry, Angus” by Edward Lawson and “Ben Slioch and Loch Maree, Wester Ross” by W. Douglas Macleod. Minor pin holes and nicks and both laid on card and presented in clip frames. (2).
237 “Furness Railway” large 23mm. brass title & coat of arms Button. v.g.c. (F19/1) 248 Great Eastern Railway Carriage Handle Set comprising lever keep cast “Hobbs, Hart & Co. Ld. 76 Cheapside” and dated “1900”, internal and external handles and connecting spindle. All parts are marked “GER”, the ring handle particularly fine having “GER” as part of the casting.
238 “British Railways Western Region” tie on card Luggage Label titled “The Cambrian Coast Express for the Cardigan Bay Resorts”. v.g.c. & complete with original string tie. 134x70mm. (5.25x2.75in). 249 Southern Electric small silver plated Nibbles Dish by Gladwin of Sheffield. Very nicely face marked “SR” with the Electric ‘Flash’. v.g.c. 130mm. (5in) dia.
239 Great North of Scotland Railway cast iron Station Platform Lamp Bracket. A decorative scrollwork designed arm terminating with an open square frame to receive the drop in lamp case. Nicely restored. O/all projection 1090mm. (43in). 250 Rolled waxed linen Map of 1901 titled “Scarborough’s Map of England and Wales showing geographical counties and boroughs. All railway and steamship lines with distances between stations and landings. “A superbly produced and detailed map with all rail lines marked with company initials. In v.g.c. on original ebonised battens slightly detached along top edge. Rolls out to 1085x910mm. (42.7x36in).
240 LNWR Boundary. ‘T’ section cast iron vertically embossed on the face “Boundary Post L&NWRy. Co.” v.g.c. Restored a while ago 1220mm. tall. (48in). 251 LNE-C (GCR pattern) 3 aspect Handlamp. Oval brass plate to top “LNE-C 28316”. Body stamped “Wath 28316”. Complete with “LNE-C” vessel, LNE burner, reflector and all glasses. v.g.c. and restored.
241 “The Great Eastern Railway Police Department London No. 55” circular embossed copper Pay Check incorporating the company’s dragon wing device. Extremely rare and in superb condition. 252 “Gt. Eastern Railway Athletic Association” hallmarked silver Medallion bearing the full title and GER coat of arms in coloured enamel. The reverse displays a gilt mount of a cricketer. Superbly crafted and v.g.c.
242 Cast iron Wagon Registration Plate “Registered by the G.W.R. Co. 1948 Standard 16 tons 1655”. v.g.c. and face restored only. An interesting plate retaining GWR lettering despite the date showing 1948 when the railways had been nationalised to form BR. 253 SNCF double royal pictorial Poster “Auvergne” featuring artwork by Salvadore Dali in typically Surrealist style incorporating his trade mark butterflies. v.g.c. and rolled only with no folds.
243 “L&NWR 107” oval cast iron Bridge Numberplate. Very good ex-bridge cond. 254 Elliptical cast iron Wagon Plate “BR-D Registered 1960 20T. 3 Gross weight not to exceed 35 tons - cwts”. From a departmental vehicle. Note the very low wagon number. Face restored only 220x166mm. (8.6x6.5in).
244 Circular cast brass Locomotive Builders Plate “North British Locomotive Coy. Ltd. Hyde Park Works Glasgow 1940 No. 24632”. As carried by LMS 8F Class 2-8-0 Loco No. 8258 / 48258 formerly War Dept. No. 332. The loco was withdrawn in Aug. 1967 and cut up by Buttigiegs, Newport in Jan 1968. A splendid works plate in virtually ex-loco condition. 196mm. (7.7in) dia. 255 Plastic cased Distant Signal Repeater from Brock Signal Box. (LNWR West Coast Main Line near Garstang). Couple of edge pieces chipped from back otherwise v.g.c. & mounted on a wooden panel.
245 LNER wooden handled Hotel Dressing Table Brush. The company initials nicely picked out in contrasting bristles. v.g.c. 250mm. (10in) long.
