195 2 BR(S) green enamel “British Railways” totem Cap Badges. Both by J. Pinches. A nickel example in v.g.c. and a gilt example with minor enamel flakes to ‘RAI’ (2). 205 “Hull & Barnsley and Great Central Railways Joint Committee” cast iron Trespass Notice. “Oliver S. Holt Secretary”. A fine scarce sign. Unrestored.
196 GWR System Map Carriage Panel. Small loss to top left corner plus other lightly bumped corners. Unframed. 206 L&NWR enamel and brass First World War Service Lapel Badge. Very minor service wear only.
197 Full size wooden replica Locomotive Nameplate “Blue Star Merchant Navy Class”. A superbly crafted copy of the original plate which once adorned SR Pacific Loco No. 35010. Finished with red background and a hand painted house flag to the roundel. 1860mm. long (73in). The roundel is 756mm. dia. (29.75in). Buyer to collect from Exeter. 207 “Wills’s Woodbines” double sided enamel Sign with ceiling mounting flange. Minor edge chips only. Good colour and shine. 610x203mm. (24x8in).
198 Inspectors miniature 3 aspect Handlamp of North British or Highland Rly style. No visible markings in the metalwork but an oval plate is missing from the body. The vessel is a fore / aft type and has a rare “NER” blue porcelain burner but this is probably not original to the lamp. A very interesting lamp with copper lens cone and complete with all glasses. 208 “Derby Licensed Driver 407” enamel and brass Trolley Bus Drivers Lapel Badge. An impressive badge incorporating a passant stag within a compound. v.g.c. and scarce. 51mm. dia. (2in).
199 Railway Clearing House Official Railway Map of England & Wales. A nice pre-grouping map folding into embossed titled covers. v.g.c. 209 BR(NE) fully flanged enamel Doorplate “Staff Only”, retaining original brass eyelets to screwholes. Lovely condition with deep colour and shine. Very minor flange wear only.
200 Pair of “NER Station Hotel Newcastle” silver plated Sugar Tongs by Elkington. Superbly top marked with the full title in a belted garter. One of the best crest impressions we have seen. 210 GNR 8in (200mm) mahogany cased Wall Clock with fine English fusee movement probably by John Walker the plates being spaced via turned brass pillars. The original dial is written “GNR” and a label inside reads “10024” (the LNER number). The clock retains its original cast brass bezel and Walker hands, and working lock to bottom door. It is stamped “GNR” in the back case and inside the door. Full working order complete with pendulum and keys. (The cranked winding key also stamped “GNR”). This fine little clock was in service in the Permanent Way Inspector’s office at Essendine.
201 Steel Single Line Key. The slightly dented head engraved “Brora - Helmsdale 13”. Good condition otherwise retaining most of the original plated finish. A former Highland Rly. section opened in June 1871. 211 Original rolled linen Track and Land Plan titled “GCR Blackwell Colliery Branch. Act 1893”. Drawn to a scale of two chains to one inch. It shows the Midland and GC lines and sidings, colliery buildings, sidings, signal boxes and the lines to Tibshelf, Hucknall Colliery, Kirkby and Pinxton. v.g.c.
202 “LMS No. 9802 1939” rectangular cast brass Tender Plate as originally attached to streamlined ‘Coronation’ Pacific No. 6239 / 46239 “City of Chester”. Built at Crewe Sept. 1939 to order no. 414. The locomotive was withdrawn 9/64 and cut up by Cashmores. The plate is face restored only. Stamped along the top rim “City of Chester” and in the back “LMS 6239”. A lead plate soldered to the back is stamped “Steamtown 1967 ex 6239”. Tender to 6229 new plate made and fitted. Gift to Rev. E. Treacy”. 6239’s tender is with “Duchess of Hamilton”. 196x144mm. (7.7x5.7in). 212 An exquisite Liqueur Glass bearing the full title and coat of arms of the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Company. Quite superb and in v.g.c. 82mm. (3.2in) tall.
203 Cast iron Locomotive Shedplate “55B” (Stourton). Face rest. only a while ago. 213 “LMS Dining Cars” plain white matching China. A small sugar bowl and a small cream jug. Both by Grindley and base marked. (2)
204 2 LNER engraved brass Track Circuit Plates re Signal Levers 32 and 37. The description of the former refers to “Haymarket West”. Together with smaller brass plate engraved “No. 21 St. Enoch Station Glasgow”. All v.g.c.
