323 Two Great Eastern Rly. rectangular brass Horse Harness Decorations. One has bold lettering (Haw. type 32), the other has tall thin lettering which is not recorded in Hawthorne. Both lack rear sprigs. (2) 334 Carriage Print “Travel in 1860. L&NWR Holyhead - Dun Laoghaire (Kingstown) paddle steamer Cambria” by C. Hamilton Ellis from the LMR 1951 series. v.g.c. and in an original glazed frame slightly overlong for the print. Uncommon.
324 GWR official Publication “Welsh Mountain Railways” 30pp. May 1924. An uncommon pub in v.g.c. Complete with area map and system map. 335 Cast iron Locomotive Shedplate “8K” (Bank Hall). Restored.
325 Pre-grouping silver plated Dinner Forks: “Midland Railway Hotels” (garter); “Midland Ry. Refreshment Rooms” (plain letters); “Exchange Station Hotel Liverpool” (plain letters); “West Coast Dining Saloons” (garter); “L&NWR Co” (scroll & Britannia); “GNSR Palace Hotel” (garter) together with a “GNR DC” (script) fish knife. All top marked and v.g.c. (7) 336 Tyers Single Line Key leather Pouch / Hoop. Clearly marked on the flap “Tyer & Co. Ltd. Dalston London”. v.g.c.
326 Great Northern Railway cast iron Stove Door. Face embossed with the ornate “GNR” monogram and corner decorations. This is the small pattern of door. v.g.c. 337 Pair of SR 2nd. World War Service Lapel Badges. Brass and chrome examples. Numbers to rear are only eight apart. Both with pin backs and v.g.c.
327 As Previous Lot but this is the large pattern of door with larger embellishments and vent. v.g.c. 338 LNER nickel tubular Whistle nicely marked with company initials and in v.g. working order.
328 “Ian Allan Locospotters Club” dark blue enamel and chrome Lapel Badge together with an unused “Ian Allan Locospotters Pencil”. Both in excellent condition and how many of us remember them with affection? (2) 339 LNWR & GWR Joint Permanent Way Man’s brass Thunderer Whistle nicely marked on the barrel sides “L&NW & GW P.Way 300”. v.g. working order.
329 “GNR 1” oval cast iron Crossing Number Plate with “G15” casting code. Face restored only. 340 LNER copper Jelly Mould clearly face marked “L.N.E.R.” vertically. 105mm. dia x 72mm. tall (4.1x2.8in). v.g.c. Service wear only.
330 Great Eastern Railway hallmarked heavy silver Medal embossed “G.E.R. Mech. Inst. Photo Section” around the dragons wing upon a shield. Reverse inscribed “Portraiture 1909 Arthur Dolden” within an ornate laurel wreath. This gentlemen was an accountant at Liverpool Street. A beautifully crafted medal in superb condition. 39mm. dia. Rare. 341 Aluminium Single Line Tablet engraved “Dunragit - New Luce 7”. The section of Portpatrick & Wigtownshire Joint Line onto the G&SWR Ayrshire Coast Line. Closed in Sept. 1965. Very good ex-service condition.
331 North Eastern Railway 3 aspect Handlamp. Top stampings obscured by old paint. Lens cone marked “NER John Levick Birmingham”. Complete with “NER” vessel, burner, “NER” reflector and all glasses. (red cracked). Unrestored. 342 Two GWR official Publications: “The Wye Valley from Hereford to Chepstow” 32pp. Aug. 1925 (last photo page has a tear) and “The Severn Valley” 42pp. April 1924. Both with maps and in g.c. (2)
332 “London and North Western Dining Saloons” double sided card Menu for Lunch aboard the Cunard Liner S.S. “Caronia”. 13th Nov. 1909. Company title in full around the figure of Britannia with a photo of the Crewe Arms Hotel atop. Reverse has the LNWR map of system. Central fold otherwise very good condition and scarce. 343 LNER oak cased mahogany stained Dining Car Clock. The original 7.5in highly decorated engraved silvered dial is lettered “LNER” and is set within a brass surround with a cast brass lockable bezel and bevelled edge glass. The side of the case bears an ivorine label numbered “31868”. A superb timepiece in full working order complete with original dual function key which winds the movement and unlocks the bezel. The case measures 252x259mm. (9.9x10.2in) with two original brass mounting plates recessed into the back panel.
333 “Highland Railway Coy” silver plated circular Dish or Tureen by Mappin & Webb. A quality heavy piece crisply face marked with the company title on a belted garter. v.g.c. 255mm. dia. (10in). 344 Pair of original Bolts with nuts from a Class ‘9F’ Loco. Smokebox Numberplate.
