301 Furness Railway cast iron Wagon Registration Plate “Registered by the F. Ry. Co. 1915 to carry 10 Tons 1085”. v.g.c., unrestored and scarce. 312 Great Central Railway Signal Lamp Case by Adlake with copper location plate “Ulceby” to body and an embossed brass plate to chimney detailing patents for 1907. Lacking vessel but good ex-service condition. A north Lincs. location between Brocklesby and New Holland.
302 “Refreshment Dept. Great Northern Hotel Peterboro” so lettered tiny glazed stoneware Cream Pourer. A little gem in v.g.c. 48mm. tall (1.9in). 313 Indian State Railway 3 aspect Sliding Knob Handlamp. Makers details stamped in body. Complete with original vessel, burner, reflector and all glasses. An impressive lamp unusually retaining its vessel. v.g. ex-service condition.
303 GNR official folding Publication “The Bracing Lincolnshire Coast”. 16pp. with attractive cover illustrations of Woodhall Spa, Boston and Skegness. Good condition, the contents clean and tight. Scarce. 314 Carriage Print “Blythburgh Nr. Halesworth, Suffolk” by Henry J. Denham from the 1948-55 series. Very slightly faded but it is in an original LNER ivory Crommoid frame.
304 GNR official Publication “Holiday Manual” Season 1912. 116pp. including fine colour plates. Overlay label only pasted down left edge noting ticket arrangements at GN, GC & GE companies. Service wear to covers and spine, contents clean & tight. 315 North Eastern Rly. Platform Lamp Vessel complete with Messenger of Birmingham brass burner (stamped “NER”), glass chimney and brass filler cap. v.g.c. and nicely restored.
305 LNER cast iron Doorplate “Porters”. Unrestored. 316 Cast iron Locomotive Shedplate “51F” (West Auckland). Face restored only.
306 LNWR china Teapot and lid by Copeland. Oval cartouche to face reads “London & N.W. Ry. Co. Rugby Refreshment Rooms”. Repairs to handle and spout. 317 LNER glass Inkwell (Welsh hat style) complete with glass stopper. Embossed “LNER Co”. This is probably a NER inkwell re-issued by the LNER with the addition of an ‘L’. v.g.c.
307 Canadian Pacific double royal photographic Poster “Banff in the Canadian Rockies”. Featuring a spectacular image of the hotel with dramatic scenery beyond. Edge nicks and tape stains to top and bottom edges. No folds. 318 An Apprentice Made tiny 3 aspect Handlamp complete with rotating aspect drum, hinged door with lens cone, back handle with clip, tiny bulb inside and a reflector. Just like the real thing! An absolute little gem only 73mm. (2.8in) tall. Mounted on a wooden plinth. Lamp men don’t miss it!!
308 LNE-C small Oil Pourer with swing handle and cap on a captive chain. Body clearly stamped “LNE-C”. Copper plate to shoulder “LNE-C Lineman Elect. Dept. Retford”. Superb 190mm. tall (7.5in). 319 LNER silver plated Sundae Dish by Walker & Hall. Crisply face marked with the “LNER” script initials. Lovely condition.
309 “GNR Dining Club” silver plated Salt Spoon. A nice little item but some of the plating has worn during service. 320 Pre-grouping (possibly GWR) “Ladies” enamel Doorpate. Some chips none to lettering. very good colour and shine. 305x64mm. (12x2.5in).
310 A compartmented small wooden Box containing 30 wooden backed rubber ink stamps as used at the ticket office at Portsmouth & Southsea station (label describing such underneath). The stamps include “Ambleside, Colne, Newquay, Rothesay, Scarborough, Windermere, Not valid via London, Available on Night Steamers only, Calaise / Dieppe / Boulogne” etc. Nice selection all different, please phone for full list. 321 LNER cast iron Platform Seat Back Nameplate “Garforth”. Stripped of paint but traces of original green remains. v.g.c. 704mm. long (27.75in). A former NER station between Leeds and Micklefield opened in Sept. 1834.
311 LNER (full title) folding card Wine List and Luncheon Menu aboard one of the company’s restaurant cars on 21st June 1936. Artwork of Lincoln to front cover, LNER system map and hotels list to back. Good condition. 322 Scotrail double royal pictorial Poster “The Highland Lines Nevis Range” with artwork by Brendan Neiland R.A. Very good condition and rolled only. This is the fifth of six such posters in this auction and is accompanied by an information sheet on the artist.
