“The Caledonian Railway Gleneagles” double royal Poster. A fine image advertising the company’s famous hotel. The title on a belted garter and from within an eagle with outstretched wings upon a scroll with Gaelic inscription “Heich Abune The Heich” all with sprays of flowering heather. Folds, some splits and small losses but a rare poster deserving of restoration. |

Oval cast aluminium Locomotive Builders Plate “Built 1965 Swindon” as carried by BR Type 1 Class 14 Diesel Hydraulic Loco No. D9553. Withdrawn in April 1968 after only 2 1/2 years service and sold to BSC Corby. Face restored only, the back painted with loco number. These locomotives were the least successful of any diesel class on BR, only lasting in service up to four years before scrapping or being sold into industry. |
