198 North Eastern Railway Face Piece Horsebrass (Haw. 69). Very good condition. 209 Scotrail double royal pictorial Poster “The Highland Lines Glenfinnan”. Featuring a fine artistic view of the railway viaduct by Brendan Neiland R.A. Small nick to top edge. Rolled only and complete with information sheet on the artist. This is the fourth in our series of six posters in this auction.
199 “LNER” Horse Brass Harness Decoration (Haw. 99). Very good condition and complete with three fixing sprigs to back. 210 “LNER” oval cloth Armband with red embroidered initials and border. Complete with leather backing and leather straps. Service wear to the upper border otherwise good condition. Uncommon.
200 Cast iron Locomotive Shedplate “83B” (Taunton). Face painted only, the detail not picked out. 211 Great Northern Railway (Ireland) moulded black Refreshment Room or Hotel Ashtray top embossed “GNR” in GWR roundel style. The back is scratched “Dundalk 11-11-48”. v.g.c. 120mm. dia. (4.7in) Not seen before.
201 Canadian Pacific Railway official Publications: A lavish “Resorts in the Canadian Rockies” booklet of 24pp. 1930 and a folding pub. “Canadian Pacific Playgrounds” detailing a seven week tour. June 1925. Both v.g.c. (2). 212 Fibre Single Line Tablet engraved “Silksworth Jn - Colliery 30”. A Durham colliery branch south west of Sunderland. v.g.c.
202 Canadian Pacific double royal Poster “Lake Louise in the Canadian Rockies” featuring a fine photographic view of the lake with the mountains beyond. Edge tears, 2 small corner losses and tape repairs to back. 213 “Pullman Car Company Limited” silver pated Ice Bucket by Joseph Westby with a swing handle. Crisply face marked with the full title around the early style coat of arms. v.g.c. and complete with its integral drip tray.
203 GNR official Publication “GNR for the Businessman” 18pp. of timetables May 1922. Good condition and scarce. 214 Five LMS official folding Publications from the “Scotland for Holidays” series: The Clyde Coast and Loch Lomond; Dumfries and Galloway; Ayrshire the Land of Burns; Edinburgh and the Scottish Borderland; Oban and the Land of Lorne. v.g.c. Note this lot together with lot no. 141 complete the set of 9 pubs in the series. (5)
204 GNR official card Advertising 9 inch Ruler. Titled “Apply for GNR Holiday Travel Facilities Now. A good rule. Travel by GNR”. Reverse is printed with areas served by the GNR and train information. v.g.c. and very scarce. 215 “L&NWR Co. 78” oval cast iron Bridge Numberplate. Restored. Note that this is the style with angular ampersand.
205 Caledonian Railway Company four compartment silver plated Condiment Holder standing on ball feet and having a ring topped stem handle all by Walker and Hall. The base marked with the full tile in an oval belted garter but the titling crossed out. The base also bears the later LM&SR Co. full title and crest in a roundel. The piece is in very good condition and complete with all four glass pots, stoppers and silver plated lids which are unmarked. 216 Great Northern Rly. all copper Platform Lamp Case from a station in the Grantham area. Clearly stamped “G.N.R.” twice on the roof. The two lamp tablets are missing as is the door slide in pin but the lamp does retain its four main glazed panels and its four frog attachment brass screw terminals. A fine lamp in unpolished condition. 700mm. tall (27.5in).
206 “Great Western Railway Hotels” small glass Whisky Tot bearing the full title scroll and twin shields device etched on the face. Superb little item in v.g.c. Only 54mm. tall (2in). 217 London Chatham & Dover Railway small circular silver plated Platter by Mappin & Webb. Top marked with the full company title and crest (somewhat polished) and also “L.C.D.R.” (very good). 205mm. dia. (8in).
207 BR(E) enamel and nickel “British Railways” Lion over Wheel Cap Badge complete with rear sliding pin. One eyelet detached but present. 218 Cast iron Locomotive Shedplate “32A” (Norwich). Face restored only.
208 GWR post grouping 3 aspect brass collared Handlamp. Body stamped “GWR” and has oval brass plate embossed “G.Polkey Ltd. Manufacturers Birmingham”. Complete with original vessel, “GWR” burner, reflector and all glasses. Very good condition and restored.
