LNER cast brass Fox as originally attached to the nameplate from ‘D49’ Class 4-4-0 ‘Hunt’ Class locomotive 62751 “The Albrighton”. The loco was built at Darlington in July 1934 as LNER No. 205. BR 62751 in June 1948. It was withdrawn March 1959 and cut up at Darlington. A photograph in Yeadon’s register of D49’s shows the loco on the scrap road at Darlington with the fox missing from the right hand nameplate. The fox is in fine condition 490mm. long. (19.3in) with two curtailed bolts to rear. The back also exhibits discolouration of the brass not covered by the nameplate. |

Very ornate with vignettes of Stanmore station and a view near the station. v.g.c. and nicely presented in a glazed frame. The train to be hauled non-stop by Class A4 Pacific 60007 “Sir Nigel Gresley” or 60014 “Silver Link”. Very good condition and nicely presented in a glazed frame. 870x635mm. (34.25x25in). |
