169 Original Oil Painting on canvas of BR 2-10-0 No. 92220 “Evening Star” on shed by George Rogers. An impressive image. Unframed. 30x20in. 181 Locomotive Footplateman’s metal Snap Box. Brass plates to lid “E. Mills Stourton Loco” and “J.H.Dobson Ironmonger Grimsby”. Complete with internal compartment and brass handle. unrestored. Stourton MPD (Leeds) was coded 20B and 55B in BR days.
170 Fully engraved cast brass Locomotive Builders Plate “London North Eastern Railway Co. 4899 Darlington 1942” as carried by ‘V2’ Class 2-6-2 Loco No. 838 which became 938 in Dec. 1946 and BR No. 60938 in Oct. 1949. A New England and March engine it was w/d in Oct. 1962 and cut up at Doncaster Works. A fine plate stamped “938” in the back. 12.9x7.5in. 182 Oval cast brass Locomotive ‘9x5’ Works Numberplate “London & North Eastern Railway 9220 Cowlairs Works 1924”. As carried by ex-NBR N15 Class 0-6-2T No. 9125 / 9220 / 69220. A Haymarket engine for many years it was w/d 11/58 and cut up at Kilmarnock Works 6/59. Face restored only.
171 LYR cast iron ‘Gate’ Notice. Face restored only. 183 Two Lancs & Yorks Rly. Horse Brasses: “LYR Co” rosette (H42) with ribbon hole and “L&YR” oval script harness decoration not in Hawthorne but script is as H39. v.g.c. The latter rare. (2).
172 Cast iron Locomotive Shedplate “65A” (Glasgow Eastfield) incorporating an unusual ‘5’. Restored a while ago. 184 An Expansion Link Side Block from the motion of LMS ‘Royal Scot’ Class Locomotive No. 6131 “The Royal Warwickshire Regiment”. Clearly stamped “LMS” and “6131”. The loco was w/d 10/62 from Llandudno Jct. and cut up at Crewe Works a month later.
173 “The Cheshire Lines Committee” original Coat of Arms Transfer nicely mounted onto a wooden panel. An impressive device incorporating the GNR, GCR & MR shields. v.g.c. 22x16.9in. 185 LMS (LNWR pattern) General Purpose Handlamp. The top stamped “LMSR Wol.” and has an oval brass plate “LMSR Makers Wolverton” which is repeated on the original vessel. Rear catch marked “LNWR”. Complete with burner, reflector and all glasses. Vessel is loose but this is a scarce pattern of lamp.
174 North Eastern Railway cast iron Boundary Post. “NER” to both faces. Unrestored. 42in. tall. 186 “London - Leeds - Edinburgh” long wooden Carriage Board as used on the “Waverley” Express which ran via the Settle & Carlisle and the Waverley Route through Hawick etc. Good original condition. 132in. long.
175 LMS Track Plans relating to railways in Leics., Notts, Northants and Derbys. Good detail and v.g.c. in the main. (32). 187 BR(M) fully flanged enamel Station Totem Sign “Ulverstone”. One tiny chip each to ‘L’ and ‘V’ plus similar to white edge at right end otherwise v.g.c. with fine colour and shine. The flanges repainted. A former Furness Rly. station opened in Aug. 1857.
176 LNWR Track Plans relating to the Cromford & High Peak Line. Good detail and v.g.c. in the main. (5). 188 Original Artwork by J.S. Smith of a BR Diesel Multiple Unit together with a BR(W) double royal poster using the artwork to advertise a Mystery Tour from Paddington. Both v.g.c. (2).

Derby - Chesterfield Line. 189 NER wooden cased Signal Box Block Instrument with needle dials for Down Line and Up Line working. “Line Blocked / Train on Line / Line Clear” cast brass display with plastic knob selector. Ex-box condition.
178 Fibre Single Line Tablet “Lanchester - Consett South 27”. A section of former NER on the Durham - Consett Line. The station at Lanchester closed to passengers in May 1939. 190 Cast iron Locomotive Shedplate “56B” (Ardsley). Face restored only.
179 BR(Sc) quad royal pictorial Poster by Terence Cuneo of the then new Helensburgh Blue Electric Units passing an ex-LMS Class 4 loco and also boats on the Clyde. This poster has been personally signed by Cuneo. A couple of edge tears only otherwise v.g.c. with no folds. 191 Cast iron Coach Plates: “BR Wolverton Lot No. 30158 1956”; “BR York Lot No. 30090 1954”; “BR C. Roberts & Co. Ltd. Wakefield Lot No. 30386 1957”; “Pressed Steel Co. Ltd. Lot No. 30636 1961”; “Cravens Limited Builders Sheffield Lot No. 30234 1956”. All nicely face restored only. (5).
180 LNER cast iron Platform Seatback Nameplate “Heckington”. Ex-station condition broken through centre screwhole but a scarce seatback. 36in. long. A station on the former GNR Sleaford - Boston Line retaining its GNR signal box and adjacent to the unique eight sailed windmill. 192 A tiny hand made Model of a GER sliding knob Handlamp. All parts function as per the full sized counterpart. Complete with removable vessel, lining drum and all glasses. Very intricate workmaship and a little gem only 1.6in. tall!!
