481 BR Southern Region fully flanged enamel Running In Station Sign “Templecombe”. Southern ‘West of England’ main line station and one time junction for the Somerset & Dorset Line. A perfect sign for our sale today. 485 “Southern Railway Southampton Dock Centenary 1838 - 1938” official polished steel Ashtray. Title embossed around a facsimile seal of the Southampton Dock Company. v.g.c.
482 Cast iron Locomotive Shedplate “40A” (Lincoln). Face restored only. 486 Box of Railway Convalescent Home China in the green and maroon colourways: Five eggcups, one sugar bowl, four cereal bowls, two soup bowls and two dessert bowls. All pieces are in v.g.c. and display the large full title and multi-shield device. (14).
483 BR double royal Letterpress Poster advertising “Autumn Holidays in the West from Birmingham New Street and Snow Hill”. Two fare tables listing West Country stations, many now closed. v.g.c. and in a glazed frame. 1040x660mm. (41x26in). overall. 487 GWR hallmarked silver Pin Tray engraved around the company crest “General Strike May 1926 to Mr. C.E. Pitman with the grateful thanks of the Great Western Railway”. Rather polished but a nice item given by the GWR to those who carried on working through the strike.
484 GWR mahogany Publications Rack with three tiers and seven compartments. Original lettering to face “Cheap Ticket Arrangements Gratuitous Copies”. Regrettably the back panel has been cut down but this is still a nice item for your booklets. 480mm. (19in) wide. 488 S&DJR 3 aspect large Midland Rly. pattern Handlamp with square front. The later top is embossed “L.M.S. 3”. The body is lightly stamped “S&DR” and bears the painted legend “SDJR Stores & Tool Van Bath Loco”. Complete with LMS vessel & burner, reflector and all glasses. Unrestored.
