Cast iron Locomotive Shedplate “5D” (Stoke on Trent). A LMS style code with an extra pair of holes drilled inside the usual pair. Label on rear states “Stoke D.M.U.” so perhaps transferred to one of these vehicles following steam loco use. Face restored only a while ago with sooty back. |

Mounted on a backing board. A former LSWR station between Poole and Wareham opened as Poole Junction in June 1847 and re-named as the target in Dec. 1872. |

An extremely rare target never offered for sale before so this is a unique opportunity. Ex-station paint to back radii. A former LSWR station opened in July 1874 terminus of the branch from Tipton St. Johns which was on the Sidmouth Junction - Exmouth Junction coastal loop line. Sidmouth closed in March 1967. |

GWR cast iron Cabside Numberplate “5773” as carried by 0-6-0 Pannier Tank built at Swindon. A Swansea Victoria & Neath Loco in later life so either of the shedplates 87K or 87A in our sale today would match up. The loco was withdrawn in Sept. 1962 and cut up by Hayes of Bridgend in Dec. 1963. The cabside is in fine condition with class and boiler details stamped into the rim. Face restored only over old original paint a while ago. |
