Cast iron Locomotive Smokebox Numberplate “43853” as carried by MR Class 4F 0-6-0 introduced in 1911. A Gloucester (Barnwood) loco for many years it was transferred to Bath Green Park for working over the Somerset & Dorset Line. Withdrawal came in June 1963 and cutting up at Derby one month later. The plate is in superb, grimy ex-loco condition. |

East Kent Railway 3 aspect Handlamp. The body is boldly stamped “E.K.R. Ry. 1 & 2”. The aspect drum is stamped “EKR” in smaller letters. Complete with original vessel with rape oil burner, reflector and all glasses (blue glass cracked). Very good unrestored condition and rare indeed. The East Kent Light Railway opened in 1912 and all of its lines were given numbers whether built or not. Railways Nos. 1 & 2 were the main lines from Sheperdswell to Stonar and from Canterbury West to Eastry. |

GWR Carriage Roof ‘Pot’ Lamp. Large brass plate “GWR 9 Return to Lambourn”. Complete with “GWR” marked burner and undamaged glass bowl shade. Very good unrestored condition. These lamps were fitted into the carriage roofs from above, the cast brass collar designed to seal the aperture from the elements. Lambourn station, terminus of a branch from Newbury opened in April 1898 and closed in Jan 1960. It was and still is a famous area for racehorse stables. |
