As carried by 3’-6” gauge Bo-Bo 3340hp dual cab Class 6E loco of which 80 were built by AEI (UK) and VCW (South Africa). They were fitted with the world’s most power electric traction motor when built. The plate is in very good condition lightly face polished only and retaining original red service paintwork. |

LSWR mahogany cased 8in dropcased Wall Clock with a wire driven fusee movement. The restored dial is lettered “L&SWR J.F.Fox Barnstaple 159”. Good condition and in full working order complete with pendulum and key. Records show that the clock was located at Tamerton Foliot station between Plymouth and Bere Alston. This station had one of the first lady station masters in the country. |

GWR Locomotive Nameplate “Dunraven Castle” as carried by ‘Castle’ Class 4-6-0 No. 4092 built at Swindon Aug. 1925 to lot no. 232. The loco was withdrawn in Dec. 1961 and cut up immediately at Swindon. The nameplate 1710mm. (67.3in) long is in superb original condition. The face very lightly cleaned only and the back is ex-loco still retaining grime and soot deposits. The splasher support plate still bears the Swindon chalked number “4092 L” (left hand side plate) front and back. A truly desirable plate. The building Dunraven Castle was a 11th. Century fortified manor house 5 miles south of Bridgend once the home of the Earl of Dunraven. |
