331 Two GNR Guards Thunderer Whistles: A nickel example with initials on mouthpiece and complete with chain and button hole hook; a brass example with initials to side. Both v.g.c. and working. (2). 343 “LNER” small china Cream / Milk Pourer by Minton. The “LNER” intertwined script initials to face.v.g.c. 56mm tall(2.2in)
332 “White Star Line Passenger List” Booklet. 24pp. prepared for sailing of the S.S. “Adriatic” from Alexandria to New York on 8th. Feb. 1929. Nice pictorial adverts for White Star Steamers on inside covers. v.g.c. 344 “LMS Railway Telegraph Dept. 2674” large circular embossed brass Paycheck. v.g.c. and uncommon.
333 SNCF double royal pictorial Poster “The Alps. Discover France by Train”. Features Impressionist artwork by Capon of an Alpine village published in 1956. Very minor edge nicks only with no folds. 345 District Railway Station Master’s wooden backed Clothes Brush. The “DR” initials on a polished bakelite mount with bevelled edges. Fine condition and a scarcity in the brush world.
334 “Ian Allan Locospotters Club” Midland Region maroon enamel and chromed Lapel Badge with pin back. v.g.c. 346 A “BR” brass cased Vacuum Gauge. The original face graduated to 60 p.s.i. mounted on a circular polished wooden panel & with six paychecks blue tacked to the perimeter. Examples are LMSR, GWR, LMS, BTC and LNWR. 225mm. (8.8in) dia.
335 Cast iron Locomotive Shedplate “56F” (Low Moor). Unrest. with nice original face. 347 GWR rectangular cast iron Wagon Plate “GW 103568”. Unrestored with the bolt heads still in place.
336 Metropolitan Railway Guards brass Thunderer Whistle. Side marked “MR”. v.g.c. and working. Definitely Met. not Midland! 348 “L&NWR Look Out” enamel Armband. Lacking straps but a good example with minor service scuffs only.
337 “Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway” Coat of Arms Transfer nicely mounted onto a black painted wooden panel. v.g.c. 457x380mm. (18x15in). 349 Manchester Sheffield & Lincolnshire Railway Permanent Way Man’s Track Hammer with wooden shaft. The head clearly impressed “MS&L”. Restored 920mm. (36in) long.
338 LNER leather Cash Bag with brass plate “LNER Burgh le Marsh & Alford Town”. Complete with “LNER” closing disc. Two old service repairs to leather otherwise v.g.c. A section of former GNR East Lincs. Main Line closed in Oct. 1970. 350 GNR Ground Signal Lamp Interior with metal plate “Algarkirk”. Lacks top handle but is complete with burner, brass filler bung, copper chimney & cap and all glasses. Restored. A station between Boston and Spalding, closed in Sept 1961.
339 “GWR Hotels” silver plated Coffee Spoon by Mappin & Webb. Crisply top marked with the company roundel & scroll device. v.g.c. 351 GNR Semaphore Signal Lamp Interior with metal plate “Burgh”. Complete with burner, brass filler bung, copper chimney & cap and all glasses. Very good polished condition. A station on the East Lincs. Main Line between Firsby and Willoughby. It was re-named Burgh-le-Marsh by the LNER in 1923 and closed in Oct. 1970.
340 LMS boxed Micrometer from Derby Loco Works by Moore & Wright of Sheffield. The box interior is compartmented to receive the main appliance and its range of accessories. The main part clearly incised “LMS / DL” i.e. Derby Loco. Complete with original manufacturers label and BR record card. The underside of the box is impressed “New Work 8 Shop”. Box well used, interior & contents good. 250x110x36mm. (9.8x4.3x1.4in). 352 BR(SR) Guards Pocket Watch by Phenix with a Swiss 15 jewel movement. The enamelled dial with Arabic numerals has an inset seconds dial. The back is incised “BR(S) 7022”. A particularly fine example in working order.
341 Two Locomotive Cab Gauge Glass Lamps: One bears no stampings but has a brass “Louth” plate complete with vessel, burner and front glass; the other is stamped “LNER” on body, vessel and burner and has front glass. Both have flip covers over red. Glasses both having small losses. Restored. (2) 353 Cast iron Locomotive Shedplate “32G” (Melton Constable). A scarce code from the M&GNJR Headquarters Depot which was closed with virtually the entire M&GN system in 1959. Face restored only.
342 “Standard Railway Wagon Co. Ltd. Reddish & Heywood Owners 1966”, bell shaped cast iron Wagon Plate. ‘Owners’ being scarcer than ‘builders’. This example being unused and is unrestored.
