312 GNR mahogany cased Signal Box Block Instrument with Pegging Handle. Ivorine label to face “Stickney”. “Train on Line / Line Clear / Line Blocked” dial with slight damage to paper label but with freely swinging needle. A nice instrument in v.g.c. Stickney was on the Woodhall Jct - Bellwater Jct. Lincs. Loop Line opened in 1913 and closed in Oct. 1970. 322 London Transport cast iron “Fire Exit” Sign recovered from Ruislip Depot. Ex-service condition. 800x205mm. (31.5x8in).
313 LNER ‘Coronation’ white cotton Napkin with embroidered duck egg blue stepped lines and corners and the “LNER” initials associated with this well known streamlined train. v.g.c. with folds only 440x440mm. (17.3x17.3in). A very scarce survivor and a must for any display of LNER or Coronation tableware. 323 Two plastic cased Signal Box Signal Repeaters: A Home signal arm example with “On / Wrong / Off” display and free pivotting arm with trafolite curved plate above “Signal No. 9”; the other in an ivory case has an “On / Wrong / Off” display with free needle. Curved trafolite plate to top with “70” Dymo tape over label. Both v.g.c. and still attached to their steel brackets for mounting on the block shelf. (2).
314 Carriage Print “Bramall Hall, near Bramhall, Cheshire” by Ronald Lampitt. A splendid view of the half timbered building from the London Midland Region 1957 series. Minor scratches to glass otherwise v.g.c. and in an original glazed frame. 324 Lancashire Derbyshire & East Coast Railway double royal pictorial Poster “Dukeries Route”. Featuring beautifully painted vignettes of stately homes and Sherwood Forest & with route diagram to top. Printed “Chesterfield 1897 H. Willmott General Manager”. Laid on board with “British Transport Commission Historical Relics Section” reference label to rear. (Ex Clapham Museum Collection). Some wear but generally v.g.c. and a poster of some rarity. The LD & ECR opened in Dec. 1896. The title lasted barely ten years, being absorbed into the GCR in 1906.
315 GWR pre-grouping Guards Pocket Watch by Rotherhams of London. The enamelled dial, with a bairly noticeable hairline crack, is lettered “GWR” and has an inset seconds dial. The back of the case is engraved “G.W.R. 2147” in large characters. A fine heavy watch in v.g.c. and working order. 325 Great Northern Railway original early style Coat of Arms Transfer mounted onto a shaped wooden panel. A fine piece of heraldry mostly in gold leaf. Scarce. 395x435mm. (15.5x17in). o/all.
316 Cast iron Locomotive Shedplate “8A” (Liverpool Edge Hill). Unrestored with a nice original face. 326 Hornby Railways ‘00’ Gauge Electric R850/5 “Flying Scotsman” Locomotive and eight wheeled high sided corridor tender finished in LNER apple green livery and numbered “4472”. Excellent condition throughout but we have not tested it.
317 “Great Central Railway and its connections” rolled waxed linen System Map showing the entire mainland U.K. as far as Perth! Also shows larger scale area map of Lancs. and Yorks. Edge wear only and a grubby back otherwise v.g.c. 1000x645mm. (39.3x25.4in). 327 LNER Welch Patent Signal Lamp Interior with copper label “Theddlethorpe” complete with burner, brass filler bung, copper chimney and all glasses. Restored. A former GNR station between Louth and Mablethorpe closed in Dec. 1960. Little survives from this station so this is a rare opportunity.
318 “L&NWR” engraved brass Porter’s Armband. Staff number “381” stamped into back. Complete with leather strap. 328 Cast iron Locomotive Shedplate “41A” (Sheffield Darnall). Face restored only a while ago.
319 GNR large 3 aspect Handlamp with fogging glass and single fluted cap. Top bears an oval brass label “H.Baynton Manufacturer Bingley Works Birmingham”. The body stamped “GNR” has a brass label “Great Northern Railway Company Thorpe Culvert 2”. Complete with vessel, “LNE” burner, reflector, copper lens cone & all glasses. A very fine lamp nicely rest. 329 A small Sugg type Platform Gas Lamp in enamel and complete with glass globe from Spalding station. v.g.c.
320 “Great Eastern Railway” enamel and brass First World War Service Lapel Badge in v.g.c. 330 “Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Ld” silver plated Meat Skewer by Hutton of Sheffield. Nicely top marked with the full title on a belted garter around the Manx three legged device. 307mm. long (12in). v.g.c.
321 LNER cast iron Doorplate “Porters”. Nicely face restored only.
