291 “London & South Western Railway” enamel and brass First World War Service Lapel Badge in v.g.c. 302 Aluminium Single Line Tablet engraved “Barnt Green Single Line Jc. - Redditch North 11”. Partially cancelled out and re-stamped with the same locations! Former Midland Rly section on the line to Evesham.
292 Signal Box rectangular fibre Lever Tag incised “Train Waiting at Signal”. Complete with wire loop. v.g.c. and unusual. 303 Two GWR steel ‘T’ shaped multi-function Carriage Keys. Both different and clearly marked “GWR” (2).
293 L&NER fully titled cast iron ‘short’ “Footpath” Notice with casting code “0.3”. Face restored only. 304 Railway Employees Privilege Tickets Association gold presentation Pocket Watch by Waltham U.S.A. The enamelled dial with an inset seconds dial. The back of the watch ornately engraved “Presented to W.C. Stretton from the Derby Committee of the R.E.P.T.A. after 17 years chairmanship 1924”. Complete with gold chain and button hole hook and bearing an unrelated but gold NUR Medallion inscribed “Presented by Derby No. 3 Branch to Bro. H. Greaves for being the first to secure 100 new members”. A superb group in excellent condition. The watch is in working order but a little intermittent.
294 GWR twin shields large 24mm. black horn Button. Police Dept. issue for mackintoshes. (F26/12). v.g.c. 305 LNER oval cast iron ‘9x5’ Locomotive Works Numberplate. “London & North Eastern Railway 6622 1919” as carried by Railway Operating Division 2-8-0 Loco No. 2068 built by North British Loco Co. “22159 of 1919). Into Traffic with the LNER as Class 04 No. 6622 in Oct. 1927. No. 3861 in 9/46 and BR No. 63861 in 5/48. Withdrawn in 2/65 from Langwith Jct. after a period at Tuxford to be cut up by Arnott Young, Parkgate & Rawmarsh. Face restored only. 230x127mm.
295 West Riding & Grimsby Railway (GN&GC Joint) large 25.5mm. brass “WRR” script Button. (F3/20). v.g.c. 306 GNR Signal Box mahogany short cased Block Instrument bearing an ivorine “Up Main” label. The “Train on Line / Line Clear / Line Blocked” dial with free swinging needle. v.g.c.
296 LNER 4 aspect Handlamp. Top stamped “LNER” and the body has a brass label “London & North Eastern Railway Burgh le Marsh”. Complete with vessel, burner, reflector and all glasses. A fine lamp nicely restored. Burgh was on the East Lincs. Main Line between Firsby and Willoughby and closed in Oct. 1970. 307 LNER Welch Patent Signal Lamp Interior Lamp from Market Rasen. Bears a copper label stamped “M. Rasen” and is complete with burner, brass filler bung, copper chimney and all glasses. v.g.c. Part painted. A former GCR station on the Barnetby - Lincoln Line.
297 GNR oval cast iron Office Paperweight. A very tactile item incised with the company initials and restored. 308 Ian Allan ABC Locomotive Series Publication “Pullman and Perfection” 40pp. 1948 describing pre-group and pre-nat. railway company Pullmans and includes a large list of cars then in service with names, builders, types, dimensions & car nos. A very informative booklet in v.g.c.
298 Cast aluminium Locomotive Plate “Gloucester Railway Carriage & Wagon Company Ld. Gloucester England” with a raised central panel stamped “D301 76”. Above the panel is stamped a large “G”. A small ‘G’ shaped plate face painted only. 120x89mm. (4.75x3.5in) o/all. 309 “Oldham Corporation Tramways 656 Wallshaw Depot” large round embossed brass duty Pass or Paycheck. v.g.c. & impressive. 50mm dia.
299 Carriage Print “Sunderland, Co. Durham” by E.T. Holding from the LNER 1945-47 series. A busy view of the river Wear with numerous vessels including paddle steamers. v.g.c. and in an original type glazed frame. 310 “London Transport” hallmarked silver Cap Badge featuring the title on a green enamelled ring flanked by two griffins. Staff number “3016” to back. A superb quality, heavy badge in excellent condition.
300 Great Eastern Rly. Guards brass Thunderer Whistle by Hudson. Clearly side marked “GER”. v.g.c. working order & complete with chain and button hole hook. 311 “GN & GE Joint Railway” (GNR 1896 pattern) cast iron Trespass Notice. Face restored only.
301 London Transport fully flanged Enamel Sign “Platforms 4 & 5 Southbound Finchley Road Baker Street City and West End” with directional arrow. Minor chips only. Very good colour and shine. 1070x382mm. (42x15in).
