182 Two plastic cased Signal Box Signal Repeaters for Home and Distant Signals. Both “On / Wrong / Off” dials have free swinging needle indicators. Distant example has trafolite “2” disc. v.g.c. (2). 196 “LNER Loco Dept. New Eng. 398” oval embossed brass Paycheck. v.g.c.
183 BR(Western Region) official Publications: Six from the ‘Rambles’ series “Somerset, Wye Valley, Cotswolds, South Devon, Cambrian Coast, Chiltern Country”. All complete with maps. Together with “Royal Windsor” and “Shakespeare’s Country”. All have attractive covers & are in very good condition.(8) 197 “LNER Loco Dept. Camb. 164” oval embossed brass Paycheck. v.g.c.
184 “Port of London Authority” First World War Service enamel and brass Lapel Badge in v.g.c. 198 LNER 4 aspect Handlamp with a flip up fluted cap. Top stamped “LNE-E”. Body has brass label “London & North Eastern Railway Dist. Insp. Pike Spalding”. Complete with vessel, burner, reflector and all glasses. Nicely restored.
185 “Midland Railway” First World War Service enamel and brass Lapel Badge in v.g.c. 199 “Ian Allan Locospotters Club” celluloid Lapel Badge in North Eastern Region orange. v.g.c.
186 Oval etched brass Makers Plate embossed “Ruston- Hornsby. Ruston & Hornsby Ltd. Lincoln. England”. v.g.c. 143x81mm. (5.6x3.2in). Probably from a static petrol engine. 200 BR(W) aluminium Single Line Key. The head engraved “Kennington Jct - Morris Cowley”. A section south of Oxford. v.g.c.
187 LNER cast iron Doorplate “Telephone” in very good original condition. These plates were fitted to small lineside cabins hence the compacted letter style. 201 A superb and decorative National Union of Railwaymen Certificate presented “To Bro. R.H. Fry of the Sleaford Branch for services rendered 1919 to 1929”. Excellent condition and in its original oak frame with gilt slip frame. Unglazed. 790x643mm. (31x25.3in) o/all.
188 Cast iron Locomotive Shedplate “40B” (Immingham). Face restored only. 202 Two oval cast iron Makers Plates probably from Diesel Multiple Units: “BR St. Rollox Lot No. 30402 1959” face restored only; “BR GRC & W Co. Ltd. Lot No. 30726 1962” unrestored blathered in original dirty Rail Blue paint. (2)
189 “White Star Line Hamburg - New York Third Class” large thin oval card Luggage Tag in v.g.c. 155x103mm. (6.1x4in). 203 Venice - Simplon Orient Express double royal Poster titled “Victoria Station London” and featuring stylish artwork of the steam hauled Pullman train by Fix Masseau. v.g.c. with no folds.
190 “White Star - Aberdeen Service” large rectangular paper Luggage Label for the Steamer S.S. “Ceramic”. v.g.c. 148x107mm. (5.8x4.2in). 204 Midland Railway mahogany cased Signal Box Block Bell with tapper and small nickel mushroom bell. Clearly marked “MR Co” on top. It also retains its original “Midland Railway Test Label” underneath. A nice sounding instrument in v.g.c. as removed from Brentonby Crossing Box near Melton Mowbray.
191 “GNR Beware of Trains” cast iron Notice with casting code “0.18”. This is the example with the top bolt hole drilled through the co. initials. Face restored only. 205 “RMD Saltley 114” oval embossed brass Paycheck (LMS style) “RMD” = Railway Maintenance Depot or Dept. Not seen before.
192 Two silver plated NER Dinner / Dessert Forks. “North Eastern Hotel Darlington” (vertical oval belted garter title) and “NER Refreshment Rooms” (title in two lines). Both pieces top marked and in v.g.c. (2). 206 “LNER S&T Dept. Ntm. 20” oval embossed brass Paycheck “Ntm” = Nottingham. Uncommon.
193 “Canadian Pacific Railway Company” single sided card Menu for Breakfast aboard the company’s ship R.M.S. “Empress of Britain” Saturday 24th August 1907. Full title and house flag embossed to top. g.c. 207 “LMS Goods Dept. Somerstown 350” oval embossed steel Paycheck. A location near St. Pancras. Uncommon.
194 “Canadian National Railways” bowl shaped china Coffee Cup by Grindley. Full title panel over a maple leaf to face. v.g.c. 208 “GNR Nottingham (T.O.)” Wax Seal Stamp. The oval brass head on a turned wooden handle. v.g.c. “T.O.” is either ticket or town office.
